I prefer spring camping to fall camping. The WGA campout is usually my first outing of the year… I do have a pop up so it does make it easier but I prefer leaving history as our founding BODS have set it up. Either way its either mosquitos in the fall or ticks in the spring. We are going to find them or they are going to find us. Weather in WI changes drastically per season… the last fest campouts have been wet and cold, but September is definitely hotter and busier. WI tourist season is at peak in August or September, while in May most people are just starting to make plans while the snow is still melting.
My opinion, leave it as it is, I enjoy the peaceful camping before tourist season in WI kicks in. Not only tourists, in August and September, you are looking at more hunting seasons that are open. Safety of the cachers go into different WI dnr properties when hunting puts more people at risk if they are out searching for caches for a weekend versus one day.
Bad parenting… that’s what is happening. With all said, who is up for a bon fire event?
We had a dusting. WOW looking at snow totals, it wont be long before the snowmobile trails are open.
Only rain here. Not even cold enough for snow.

I prefer a sweat shirt to a dinner… but needless to say, this is a good discussion and most of you see, even with my sarcasm, we are not asking for stipends. If more members would post their opinions and thoughts on this, i feel we will take this into cinsideration.
Or if members would like to donate to the BOD out of their own pocket. I am sure Iwould be happy with a new WGA sweatshirt.. size XL. I did not run though for free handouts.. i ran because i enjoy geocaching.
Feel free Badger the BOD members as some have started looking for answers already. Keep digging for clues. But follow the rules, add your guesses here and please be a good sport about it. First post here wins.
There was discussion. As a BOD. We decided to elect a cache per month. No series. But prizes for the owner will be awarded just like POTM… though COTY is something to think about. In truth only BOD was voting the last couple on months. Hopefully a prize will now promote more voting.
There will now be rewards for COTM. Including rewarding the owner with a prize and most overall votes yearly will receive a top prize as well. This is changing to 1 cotm per state.
As the BOD has decided.. COTM changes are coming… think more like the POTM… these changes will start March 1st. more details to come.
He was thinking about making fireworks or something.
This Jim guy I am sitting next to is sleeping.
Chris, please do feel free to add your feedback… not only I, but the membership visibility should be seem. Whether some agree or disagree thats going to happen, but at least others see the feedback.
Thank you WA… when I posted it my phone showed it different than it posted. I saw the paragraphs.
Our meeting is just around the corner and yes we are looking for members not just BoD to step up therefore if any members want to help the sooner the better.
For most state parks we need more than 8 months notice to reserve a location. Early planning helps create larger success.
