Hey Steve (talking to self again) go look closer. You’re there. Must have been the outings where you found more than one.

OK, quit using this as an excuse and get to your workout. OK, bye, have a great day!

    Buck09,

If you take a look at your map, where JJ crosses Hy 16, directly accross 16 from WCTC, there is a little parking lot – only it has a cable accross the driveway with a sign stating that it is state owned, keep out.

It is my understanding that Waukesha County is developing park space on this land and that the state will turn the land over to the county as soon as the required “improvements” are completed.

Charlie Shong from Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District told me this…and he’s pretty in tune with land holdings in the area.

Enjoy the trail… and look for the benchmarks while you’re there!

Hey, what is that troop doing geocaching on the date of the Root River Trail anniversary hike? Oh yeah, that’s right, I’m going to outdoor leadership training on that date so I won’t be hiking either. Eh, that’s OK, I’ve got plenty of Root River patches…

    DJwini,

You can always use your GPS to go to .25 miles then just stop .003 miles (16 feet) short of where your GPS is telling you to go.

It took me four trips to find the GoN. Take a close look at the hint that the cache owner (the legendary Mr. Jeff Thorson) gave. Think about it.

It hasn’t been more than a year since I discarded my very first acoustic coupler… Of course it hasn’t been USED in over 20 years…

Steve K, very happy with cable broadband

Arrrgh. We’ve cleaned out my son’s closet and have a basket full of treasures and I’m sitting on 3 bugs that are long overdue for depositing into a local cache (I’ve had them for over a month). Unfortunately this is YACW (yet another crazy weekend) with overlapping and overbooked commitments so I won’t be joining.
