We have been playing… oh, let’s see… about 23 years now. One of the early starters… even passed it on to my girls. and my nieces and nephews. I guess when I read that article about “geeks in the woods” it just reminded me of what they used to say about D&D’ers! Love playing, and love geocaching.
Thanks for the help getting it through… sorry I was impatient, all the others we have done were like the same day they were approved. Do you go out and do each cache to make sure everything is right with them?
Please keep it up. I have told my nieces about this one and they want to come along. Summer is too busy, though… they are from divorced families and have to spend time away from home alot… one going to Vegas for the summer. I am sure there are others in this same predicament. The fee might slow some down… my husband is one that avoids the pay spots. But, like was said… you can by pass that or get an annual sticker. Like your idea of putting out a new one… go for it! I find alot of people might be going to the cache and not logging it. I think some people are just in it for the fun and not logging on line.
HEY!! That is a great idea! We still have some of that cammo tape, could pick up some more… need some dew cans on it also. Hmmm… seems like a lot of work. Maybe I will settle for the one that is about 2 feet high, 2 feet wide, and 2 feet long… looks like it would make a great stool to place your butt while checking out the cache… oh wait a minute… how can you sit on it and check it out?? So many decisions! (BTW… the inside of it might even hold the Beast… Trudy, do you need a break for awhile?)
Silly me… I forgot about that about the Beast! Well, maybe he could be nice and cook Trudy’s food on the Ammo Grill! Nawwww……..
Thanks… that looks really cool… cant you just see the Beast cooking on that at the next campout? or the picnic??
I go to American Science (60th & Oklahoma) for alot of things… even the boxes to use. I bet they would be glad to be a sponsor… the store has many teens as clerks and whenever they ask why I am buying multiple oddball stuff and an ammo box (like I am building a bomb or something) after telling them what I am doing, a few of them will exclaim… Ahh… Geocaching… yesssss….
I also hit (well, not physically hit it) the dollar stores or the 99 cents always (what is the difference of that penny??) and rummage sales… people really dont know what they are selling at rummage sales, sometimes you can find things still in the packages for 25 cents. Then there are always the after a holiday sale anywhere… like Target… 75 % off! Woo hoo! Oh yeah… one more… Sherpers in Hales Corners… fantastic place to find anything… lately they have a whole wall of ammo boxes of every size imaginable. I tried to convince my husband to buy the one that stood 5 feet tall… but, alas… how the heck would you EVER hide that thing??!
