Way to go Joe. You have been hitting our caches pretty regular. Keep up the caching activity. Good to see you at ICM’s event in Beaver Dam
JohnWay to go Dave. With all your finds and new caches and parenting of your existing caches there can’t be much extra time in your life. Did you ever get your garden planted this year? What’s your consecutive streak up to now?
06/19/2007 at 1:32 am in reply to: Zuma & Team Honeybunnies finish their 2nd Delorme Challe #1876176Congrats Zuma and Team Honeybunnies thats awesome. We still have a ways to go to complete the Wis challenge. How many gas fill ups did you need in those 3 weekends?
Congrats Justin. It seems like you are picking up speed as you go along. Keep on going!!
Thanks everyone, seems like we have been a little slow lately, I gotta retire one of these days.
Wis Kid, we appreciate the time you spend approving caches. Thanks from Team Sloughfoot
Sunday May 6th @ 09:00 is coming up. Where are we going to meet?
Nice article, too bad they didn’t get your caching name in there anywhere.
BTW you didn’t disturb the ornery neighbor on the other side of the fence did you?
I went to the cache log and found Ross’s caching name, it is Rossbee.
After a wake up email from Zuma that volunteers to hide temp caches were needed. We will be there.
Thanks cachers. You have to log on to these forums now and then just to see if anyone is talking about you. Kind of a slow start after winter for several reasons but the most time consuming is a remodel going on at the cottage. It took us an entire weekend to celebrate Gail’s birthday because it was a special one for her. I won’t give the exact number but it is evenly divisable by 10, or 20, or 30, or ……., I had better stop now. See you all out on the trail.
JohnOur TB wanted to go to South Africa. Warthog in South Africa found out about it and contacted us and we mailed it to him for $1.40. He now has it and is moving it to the city it wanted to go to.
The cache in question is one of Sloughfoot’s GCY6J5. Even though my typing skills aren’t all that great ( I use the middle finger on the left hand and the index finger on the right hand) this one wasn’t really a typing problem but a slippery mouse problem. When you fill out the on-line form the state is on a pull-down menu with Wisconsin and Wyoming being right above each other and I didn’t realize that I had selected WY instead of WI. Rocky-Mt-Reviewer approved it and after I emailed him/her the state was changed to WI. The first few cachers actually found it with the WY still in place. I was thinking boy this is a good way to get those tough ones approved but it was purely accidental.
Another funny thing that maybe you didn’t notice was when the weekly update came out this one showed up as being in our area but had Wyoming as the state. I wonder if anyone got Wyoming checked off on their list of states that they have found a cache in and wondered how that happened.
The more I think about it the timing probably has to be right for a streak of 100, unless you are retired which I am not. You have to be experienced enough to find a high percentage of your caches but not so experienced that you have wiped out everything in your home territory. When we started this streak we had just gone over 400 caches and I travel over a big territory fixing computers. My GPS usually has about 850 caches loaded so it doesn’t take too long to get on the trail when I leave a customer site, and I am not afraid of weather. I doubt if I will go after another streak like this one but wouldn’t rule it out either!
I would just like to update the count. On Wed Nov 22nd we hit 100 consecutive days and then stopped before it became a habit. Also with Thanksgiving the next day at the brother-in-laws we would have had to spend a lot of time getting another find. So the current streak is 1 day.

Congrats on the approaching milestone. We are returning from vacation and will try to make it, we might not make it by 11:00, will bring some chips and dip.
