Hey man, thanks fellow cachers… Sorry bout not responding sooner – been busy with all the fall chores and that blasted four letter word called w o r k ! The plus side though, I was able to get away from the grind on a business trip up to ‘gotta run’s territory, and we picked up a few great multis during the night time hours… love the fall weather and how it’s holding out. I’ll look forward to the bloodhound poundin the jackson county forest for some smilies come next spring then… Maybe even run some winter friendly caches out this winter for some exciting snowshoe adventures, ya never know…
Thanks again for all the great comments – looking forward to the many trails that we’ll be crossing – till then, keep tha caching spirit alive…
Snyder BearPulled back into home yesterday afternoon, and I gotta tell ya… I was surprised to find a huge gift sitting near the mail box! After settlin’ down, we got to opening up the package and low an behold, out popped an ammo box filled to the brim of trinkets and other valuable geo-paraphernalia… Oh, what we can do with this.. It’ll be a first for us here at the Snyder Ranch of course, but we’re looking forward to doing some cache placements in the near future… And we have just the areas to place them in also…
Thanks again for all the great times our month of LCG’n gave us – we enjoyed it thoroughly, and look forward to participating in this in the near future… 😉
See ya alls on the cachin’ trails.. Till then, keep those gps batteries fully charged and those nettles knocked down for us cachers who are unfortunate enough to be standing .1 miles from one of Zumas river caches in shorts… lolSnyder Bear
Same as ever – snag what we can grab and jam it into the backpack, dump the junk you picked up from the days caching into the back floorboard when it gets to where you can’t destinguish between the good stuffin’s an bad any longer… Ask the better half to maybe clean out (make the kids) the geomobile when your at work so you’re ready to roll after a quick meal – simple process, but its working… The LCG was a relaxing process that we enjoyed for a change, it wasn’t a race from cache to cache… Something suggested to us by another. Great while it lasted…

Yeah, good thing T&B told us early in the month. I think it was on the 5th, when I had my last good meal ;o)
It’ll be an interesting cache placement I’m thinking… I’ll have to read up on it a bit, but I’m sure the family will be up to the task…
That is of course, if we manage to pull this thing off… Went and moved the #1 son’s summer campsite this evening instead of making another lonely cache run… But… I do have some points pending yet so… Fingers are crossed ! ! !Oh, did I mention “Trekkin’ & Birdin’ ” told me about the LCG and how enjoyable it’d be to maybe see some of the less traveled roads and less visited caches?
Very cute, T & B…They were right though – enjoyable being the operative word…

If you’re looking to explore the Black River Falls area anytime soon, we’d highly recommend any or all of the new caches placed at some of the flowage areas by SnyderBear. Some are quite easy to get to, others may require a good long hike, especially right now, with huge potholes filled with water on the trails, but the amount of wildlife we saw and heard, plus the flowers and scenery, were well worth the effort. The hiking was easy hiking, a contrast to the cardo-workout the mound caches provide.
This is one of them that needed a longer hike in a pretty area, but look for any of the ones nearby with “flowage” in the cache name. Great series, SnyderBear!

Hey ! ! ! No problem folks… we’ll be doing an addition to these down the line soon – who says you need to be breathing heavily to see something spectacular… (keep it clean guys)
I’m also thinking of making a small series that are totally 1 terrain, so that their catchable by all, but somehow make them memorable in their own right (had a recent log stating they couldn’t get a container open and it got me to thinking)… We’ll see. (Would this give “Trekkin” caches well into his 90’s if he’d just leave them sit till then? Or would he flame through them in a fit of FTF frenzy… ;o) …Snyder Bear
A big shout of ‘THANKS’ from this end of the planet…

Congratulations on what I’m sure is a very memorable feat. Before I try it though, I need to know, how is the food? 🙂 If it’s not up to par I won’t even attempt it.
Hey, thanks for all the accolades – It really was a pleasure of ours to visit each of the caches used for the challenge… I really appreciate all the time and effort it takes from the region’s cachers to keep these types of caches active (and so so enjoyable)… Regarding the food, I’m going to have to say, the food was well worth the effort – it was in fact, the highlight of the whole challenge – great food, great people… One thing though, the company tries hard to keep you from really tasting any of the meal with tall tales of all the great caching treasures they’ve been privy to in all their travels… And the challenge of beating Trekkin’ to the bottom of the plate – well, when you do finish the challenge, you’ll see for yourself… I thought at first, he had a fork in each hand, plus he carries on most of the conversation and Birdin’ and us just kind of became mesmerized with all of this unfolding before our very own eyes… lol
Naw – just kiddin’ with Trekkin’ once again – truly though, this challenge is really a great one to go after – it’ll only get better with time…Thanks again T&B..
