There are quite a few in the Eagle River area but Sparse Grey Hackle would be better than I at telling you which ones. We just snowshoe to them ourselves.
TEYikes!
Sorry for the slow response here TE we just put the sleds away last week.
This is our first weekend of the year NOT doing any
‘Snomocaching’ in the Nort WoodsSee our bookmark list:
http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?guid=4ad11399-bb5d-4e50-835d-dbe7577e236cAnd, some caches were done using BOTH snow shoes, sleds and oh yes….some real half-stepping to GZ with the Blondie Bloodhound.
This year we added a RAM mount for the GPSr which really was a nice addition and a safety item (for driving) that worked out very nice for us.
Another GREAT WINTER for Snomocaching in the Nort Woods!

I’ve noticed there are a number of public bookmarks which have not been included in the WGA bookmark listing. I have added some of them myself.
Are there other bookmarks out there that should be added?
Marc,
Thanks for the post. Good point for all to share and for WGA members to utilize this compilation.
Just sent our one (and only) public bookmark to Jeremy for inclusion, ‘Snomocaching’ in the Nort Woods

Please, think of your geo-karma.
Deleting logs and all this is such bad negative karma.
(or internet censorship?)LetΓ’β¬β’s put the f-u-n back into geocaching.
Don’t just grab your football and go home with it.
Is this cabin fever in January?
Grab those snowshoes and hit the geo-trail.
Just take a deep breath……….everybody remember this suppose to be a game. Because……

Soooooooooooo….this is a great dialogue generator here……looks like this Off-Topic Forum is now back on topic!
Time to move it back where it started? Now that would be interesting.

It was time for us to get a new cachemobile. Our Mercury Mountainer served us very well and had put on over 188,000 miles just prior to helping us complete the needed trips for GCXPZR along with caching in several states to boot.
So what did we do when we went car shopping?
Our test drive consisted of going to find three nearby caches to the dealership! GC1FD3Y GC1DJPA
along with GC1GEGB for the ultimate geo-test drive experience. So we now have a new geomobile- a sweet Toyota Highlander Limited
that past the geo-test drive!Yes, guards have been posted and were on duty for Sagasu on his visit to GC1H56Q
The Sovereign State of Winneconne
Good to know that we can sleep at night!
Too funny and a great log Dave!
And. kind of exciting our first surplus ammo can cache container.
Mooooooooooo over….our cow is in the barn! π
Very nice. Thanks for making this geocoin happen.

We in the Sovereign State of Winneconne miss you, though we hardly knew yee, we indeed knew a good man from Omro. GC167K4
For those of you who don’t take a visit to GC1GWEK and GC1742F and you’ll get to see what he got to see each and every day.
Excellent. Keep on truckin’

OK, then. Rust never sleeps.
Just use common sense. That’s a great axiom.
Unfortunatley, common sense is not common enough.
Rust never sleeps.
My my, hey hey
Rock and roll is here to stay
It’s better to burn out
Than to fade away
My my, hey hey.Out of the blue and into the black
They give you this, but you pay for that
And once you’re gone, you can never come back
When you’re out of the blue and into the black. The king is gone but he’s not forgotten
This is the story of a Johnny Rotten
It’s better to burn out than it is to rust
The king is gone but he’s not forgotten.Hey hey, my my
Rock and roll can never die
There’s more to the picture
Than meets the eye.
Hey hey, my my.Again this is a game. It should be fun.
One thought (again) to eliminate about 99.9 percent of the negative aspects heretofore detailed would be to implement a “one and done” aspect for the game.
Once you have hurtled yourself to that last minute nocturnal race to the finish line you are done for the year or quarter. You could then decide to go inactive or continue for the fun of it.
Perhaps then others will get to enjoy (some of the joy) in the LCG.
Skip the plebiscite and let’s ring in 2009.
Way 2 Go Lisa!
Kudos on your 1K

Out thanks again for sponsoring this cache that is most crtical for the DeLorme Challenge. And, for us one of the top ten memorable grabs for the game. We will do the final in spring most likely. A fun series to do and one that we put lots of miles on doing. Thanks for page 57.

This is thread has been an excellent dialogue generator and will serve well to help remove some of the frenzied foibles to reduce to a certain extent the EOM guile and chicanery that does become somewhat of a reoccurring theme.

Some odd thoughts …..
5. A Team can only win one month a year. Any other months they are high score, their name is thrown out.
This has great merit in some shape or form and would reduce many of previously discussed issues. Perhaps one and done or something like every other quarter. But not every month.
We have not participated every month in the LCG but do enjoy the challenge in the winter months particularly when the LCG would fit in with The Great NorthwoodΓ’β¬β’s Treasure Hunt of 2007 and 2008. That was fun being able to do some more extreme winter caching and half-stepping with snowshoes in the Timberline Echoes neck of the woods.
http://www.northwoodsgeocaching.com.Most likely we may not be available to do a LCG beer frame, as we will be doing our snomocaching ala GC19YQ6 up in the Nort Woods which will once again be populated by plenty of LCG caches.
However, we still are clinging to a sliver of hope that we may finally one day get a sighting of the nocturnal Sagasu-Son on the trail.
Speakinf of trail, today is a perfect day for us to try out our new snowshoes on the WIOUWASH trail.

Guess we are just to far north we are off the map… The real up nort where the TEs live and no one dares visit when the cold winds blow.
TENot to worry TE’s, our snow shoes are all set and we are ready for some more snomocaching so let it snow, let it snow. (See GC19YQ6)
We may have to set out some more caches for you to find within your 50 mile zone.
Any news on the 2008/2009 Great Northwoods Treasure Hunt?
