FYI here is the link to “In Wisconsin” Notice the air times and channels it plays on… http://www.wpt.org/inwisconsin/
I saw the episode last night, wish i was there…
Boy! If this is just the start of coin ideas, I think we’re on a good track! Don’t know exactly what is meant between textured and polished (I thought all coins are textured), but I really like the globe. pcfrog, you did great, but I always like to see some variety. I can’t wait to see what designs other people come up with. This has already exceeded any of my talents (which aren’t many).
And again, I vote for some kind of tracking. It puts the “geo” in geocoin.
We’v only come across washingtonga.com personally, and that is a very nice coin. They happen to track the coins on their own site. But I think it would be much nicer to track through gc.com.
You have our vote! This is a great idea!
We just got back from a trip up to Superior and needed some more caches. Now I don’t know about this wap or was or whatever. I stick to good ol’ fashioned plain white paper. I find it a lot faster. And with almost all libraries offering internet access to everyone, free, you can’t beat it. We even had free access at one of our hotels we stayed at.
We bow to your cache finding prowess! May your days be filled with multiple glories! You truly are an inspiration.

Thank YOU Brian and WGA. Looks like we are moving in a very positive direction. Job well done so far in your communications with the DNR. This looks like a policy/guideline worth keeping. I do like the idea of an extended permit 2-3 yrs.

1 is oursNow I know why it has taken us so long to get our numbers!
I gotta chime in and say THANK YOU!!! to the WGA and all who helped make this picnic a wonderful event. B and I enjoyed ourselves so much that we kept on caching the whole weekend. Because of all the efforts of the WGA and many others, our Geocaching experience has been greatly enhanced. I don’t know what Geocaching would be like in WI without the WGA, but I’m sure glad they’re here to help us all!
Yep, that looks like Poison Ivy. A couple things to note when identifing:
Each leaf has three leaflets
The two leaflets closest to the stalk are almost touching and the third leaflet (the middle leaflet) has a small stalk of it’s own
P.I. comes as a small plant (like your pic), a plant with a woody stalk about waist high, or as a vine growing up the side of a tree
Each leaf (set of three leaflets) are alternate, as opposed to oppositeJust a little piece of info I’ve collected on my journeys.
We finally ventured south of the border…into the flat lands of IL. We got 2, I never liked being on the bottom.
Thanks wzbt03 for this topic, what fun!
I copied and pasted the article straight from The Park Shorts from the date listed above. Seems that the Cheif Ranger has told the park comunity, but not the Geocaching comunity. Maybe it has not been an “official decree” as of yet. Or maybe the policy will be enacted on 9-1-04…
Who knows?
We got trade stuff, pen/pencil, GPS, FRS radios, Compass, Gatorade/Water, Extra zip-locks, a pocket knife, and since we are “papermore” cachers, a binder with our to-do list and paper for notes/calculations.
We (I) also have to carry B’s rain coat when it has just quit raining.
Stooper and B. will be at Smokey Hollow Campground in Lodi. Never been there but it seems nice (and close). P.S. it is also Viva Las Vegas Weekend!!
Lil’ Otter, we have never been on a night cache and would love to try to find yours on either Fri/Sat. Whichever anybody else is going.

Oooh! I think I can almost see my house!
Pretty neat map.
Never been to Disney world but we will try real hard to make it at least for the morning. This will be our first “official” Geo-event.
