When we have cached in a group and used a shortened version, I have always put that in my log. but have always signed something on the log. I would not leave a penny, coin, Pathtag, pin or something else to say I was there, as that is just swag and could be gone if the next finder takes it. Then there is no proof that you were there.
guess I’m gonna have to keep working to fund the Social Security system for them.
All in all the quality in my opinion is about the same. It all depends on where you are and what you like to find. In the northwoods we still find many ammo boxes, but when closer to the populated areas there are more micros. But there are still quality hides all over the state, If you want to find a hidden jem, search out a regular cache in a urban area, usually there will be a nice park or green space.
At the events, I usually get to meet most of the new cachers, I usually have my laptop ready to load the local caches from GSAK to anyones GPS that needs it. Most of the seasoned cachers are ready to go, but the newer cachers that are still loading by hand get a big help. I have also helped others with GSAK questions. at Pike Lake we helped members get their new TB’s logged and loaded for the race. This is a good way for me to meet the new cachers that might feel like they are on the outside of the circle.
Pumpkin, any time of the year.
Cannot say for sure that we will make it, Val has a Dr. appointment in Madison on the 1st. if we stay in Milwaukee overnight, we might just make the event on the 2nd
SL,
Here is my list of all known caches in Adams County, I have the list in GSAK, but printed it out in PDF format for you. 214 active caches that I know of
Woodworking, Have built some furniture in the past. Though it was caching related, the tables held pathtags under the glass top.
Most of our other hobbies are linked to caching: Traveling, camping, hiking and biking.
Yes I have read and yes will uphold them.
It has worked well for the past 10 years, If its not broken lets not fix it. It has worked well so far
I support the funding of the CITO events, but we need to clarify on what the $150 can be spent on. (its on the agenda for the BOD meeting this year)
In the last 2 years, we have had very few problems in the forums that I have seen, I have never deleted a post, but I have commented in the BOD forums on a couple if iffy ones
Yes,
The meeting should be attended by all the board members
Yes,
It is a great program that help keeps older caches checked on. This is the first year that we have joined in on the game and so far are having fun with it.
I think that our involvement in the event should stay like it is, Having our booth Fri and Sat, and the Pancake Breakfast on Sunday. If WBCB would make a donation, or share in the profits from the event, then I would say we could help run the event. So far they have done a great job with out us, and we should keep it that way.
