Depending on price, it would make a great swag item

Here are some that we found last winter at Sir Tristain’s Island Cache GC1W0TG
The last one is the otter hole into the lake

yep you found otter tracks, if you would have searched around, they usually have a way to get under the ice near shore, usually in a boggy part, they keep the hole open all winter to be able to access to find fish for food

            BUTTERCUPS AND GOLF BALLS

Towards the end of a round of golf, Dave hit his ball into the woods and
found it in a patch of pretty, yellow buttercups. Trying to get his ball
            back
in play, he ended up thrashing just about every buttercup in the patch.

All of a sudden, POOF!! In a flash and puff of smoke, a little old woman
appeared. She said, ‘I’m Mother Nature! Do you know how long it took
me to make those buttercups? Just for doing what you have done, you
won’t have any butter for your popcorn for the rest of your life… better
            still,
you won’t have any butter for your toast for the rest of your life…. As a
matter of fact, you’ll never have any butter for anything for the rest of
            your
life!!!’ Then POOF!… she was gone!

After Dave recovered from the shock, he hollered for his friend, ‘Fred,
            where are you?’

Fred yells back, ‘I’m over here in the pussy willows.’

Dave shouts back, ‘DON’T SWING, Fred! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD,
            DON’T SWING!!!’

Just Thought I like to let ones that actually care about the latest news of my Mom. Just got back from the cancer doctors and not such luck, news is that mom had her staples removed today and he wants her to heal for a month and make sure that she is careful that she does not tear her stomach incision up. Bad news is that her cancer is spread. She will have to do radiation and Chemo for a whole month for every day. We are grateful that my mom can come this far and stay with us and every day will be traveling a hour and a half to Green Bay. They live in Michigan so at least a hour and a half drive every day is better then a 5 hour drive each way. This is such sad news. I need all the thoughts and prayers from all of my friends. It is been a very tough time for us. I like to give my heart blessing to know that every little little bit counts. I cannot thank you all enough for all your support on my auction of my pathtags I am selling to help raise funds for my mom. I will continue to sell tags to help her out with her medical finances. I feel this is the least I can do to help her out. I wish I had all the money in the world to help ease the stress of medical bills. This is the last thing I feel for her to have to worry about. I love my mom so much and her being here as long as she can is what makes me happy. It is a sad to know that a loved one has cancer. God I feel so helpless at times. I wish it could all be taken away. I every day pray that things will only get better. I try to stay positive and keep faith that god keeps her under his wing and is looking out for her and not make her suffer. I feel for anyone that is got a loved one battling with cancer. I know my mom is not the only one. Guess why I always live for the moment, day by day, hour by hour and I make the best of each and every moment I can and if this is a way I can be with my mom, the more I appreciate her in my life. I love her so much. Thanks for listening while I ramble on but it seems to be the only thing that helps me take all this in is by sharing my feelings. I cannot Thank You all enough who are my friend for being great support and show that you care. I will try to have a nice remainder of the day, and please do the same. With a heavy heart ~Valarie of sweetlife

Here is a link to Marinette County Website and the waterfall tours there

                  http://therealnorth.com/waterfalls.html

                  Here are Florence County’s

                  http://www.florencewisconsin.com/Attractions/waterfalls.htm

This will help as some are a far walk and the listings should tell you that.

Both these counties are in Far Northeast WI and with the other caches in the area will easily fill a weekend.

Only have 7 or 8 left if I remember right, most are from 2000. Maybe this will be a goal for 2012 as we are going to get the D/T grid filled this year.

Val has listed some more pathtags on ebay for her mom, thanks to all who bid on the first auctions, Some of these are the last ones that she has of these tags, some of our earliest that we made back in 2008. Again the money will be going to her mom to cover medical expenses

IMPO getting rid of the unions and bargaining rites would be a good thing. it would level the playing field, and trim the fat easier. I say if the state, county, local employees don’t like it, let them strike, with the unemployment the way it is, there are plenty of people who would be willing to cross a picket line to feed their families. (and who knows, might be able to do the job better and keep that job in the future) those of you who have the state, county, and local jobs should be happy that you have a job to go to.

I don’t know where you got that number from. My understanding is that we’re looking at losing 8% of our salary, or $4000 on a $50,000 salary. But the money is not the big issue, it is the loss of collective bargaining. Without collective bargaining, the unions are effectively dead.

But your not “loosing” the money, more will just be going to your retirement out of your pocket not mine. and a bit more to your health insurance.

From my understanding, the amount that the average employee that would have to pay out of their pocket because of this is $50 a month for a $50,000 per year salary. I may be wrong with that figure, but that is what I heard. I’m looking at this, being in the construction industry for my main job for the past 13 years, no insurance and no retirement, I wish for $50 bucks a month I could have those things.
I am also a volunteer fire department member and usually back the IAFF and local Fire Dept Unions (even though our dept has no Union or full time members) but this time I had to draw the line. I support Gov Walker as our state needs to financially fix its budget problems.

I was so depressed last night thinking about the
economy, wars, jobs, my savings, Social Security,
retirement funds, etc., I called the Suicide Hotline.
I got a call center in Pakistan , and when I told
them I was suicidal, they got all excited, and
asked if I could drive a truck?
