we went out today and did a maintenance run checked on 38 caches, found 4 others (one FTF) Was a busy day, going to try to check on more tomorrow, and sunday, hopefully checking on most of our WI caches. Way too much snow in the UP of Michigan, so will have to wait another month to find them yet

If and when we ever place a puzzle cache, It will not be a park and ride find, where you could even think of getting a bus within a mile of it. That will keep the “parasites” away.

have to watch for 3 new caches placed in the area, glad that has not happened to us yet.

Sorry to hear that it happened to you.

even sitting around a table “helping” with puzzle caches, I would not feel its right to help with puzzle “a”, “b”, “c” and put no input into puzzle “d” but still log it with the group. This is why we don’t usually cache with a group. Don’t even feel it would be right to sign a log after someone else got the “found it”.

With the 205 you can actually get the satellite page, is a little more user friendly

Usually the silver or Gold coins, have no color and are just 3D Looking, Would take a really good design to pull off a coin with no colors. Dont know if I would buy one,

Gave a copy of the Migo one to Auntie Nae, so she could bring it to the meeting next Sunday. This way everyone can get all touchy feely with it.

Remember the larger the sticker that is made, the larger size of cache container you need to put it on.

                    😆

The smaller it is, the more cache sizes it will fit on, but then the Bomb squad has to work harder to see it too.

I have the migo sticker in front of me and it is definitely green and black printed on white stock

Worked in the silkscreen industry printing flat stock labels and that is a norm. white stock printed with 2 colors would be cheaper than using a green stock with one color.

                        the size was 4×6

                        Weatherproof White stock

2 spot colors GREEN and Black (We can make anything white by not putting any ink in that area

I used to work in the printing industry, the setup fee is the largest part of printing, running more while it is set up actually brings the per piece price down the more you run. That is why 750 and 1000 are actually cheaper than 500 Its not a typo

We could also look for a company that could print these on sheet stock instead of roll stock,

Look up screen printing. flat stock labels.

Jaymar Screen Printers in Depere, might be able to do something like this

As with my views on temps not being real caches, puzzles that you do not solve should not be logged either.

As we do not usually cache with others, so we solve anything that we find, up to now most have been field solves, except for a few of B-squared in Escanaba that we solved last year, but I did sit down Sunday and solved over 12 and bookmarked 18 more that can be field solved. usually we filter out puzzles on our PQ’s so I can add these to the GPS at any time.

I was originally using this for loading to my nuvi

Its a macro from GSAK with it I always had problems with garmin uploader not being able to read the file.

                                  now i use this macro

Works well with the nuvi, loaded 1800 caches on it last night, now that we have the 550 been playing with larger files.
