While out today doing some of the GNTH caches, we stopped at the Ice Shack.

Its in Boulder Junction, just off the main drag to the north, Both Val and I agreed these were the best burgers we have had in years, and for those of you from NE Wisconsin, they were better than MickeyLu’s in Marinette and Krolls East in Green Bay.

We found this cache that can be logged multiple times in Milwaukee area by uncle fun, as we were looking thru the log book i don’t remember many names being on the log, Im sure after a event like WGA campout Uncle Fun was there almost daily changing the log after all after you find a cache dont you have to sign the log? all those multiple logs should have a signature to match shouldn’t they?

We have close to 2000 coins, all in a collection that we bring to most events with us, they stay home at WWFM’s but otherwise we usually bring them, all are activated and owned by us. Find us at an event some time and take some time to enjoy them, some day they might loose their appeal to us but as for now we still purchase them for our collection, we have started to focus on coins that are from MI and WI and personals from friends, and now pathtags are beginning on being Vals latest collection, now she has over 600 or so of them too

the main reason is to not have visitors every day, they try to set up visits on Fridays if at all possible, remember this is a business that still has work to get done, even though every day is a casual friday there, the day we were there, some of the lackeys were still in PJ’s and slippers, It very laid back there, but still a business. That is the need for it being archived, ask for a invite, and you will not be turned down, its a great place to visit, and if you hit it early enough in the day, you can still make it to the original stash plaque the same day.

If I do another WGA function again, I plan on only meeting people and not looking for temps.

Finally someone has figured out what an event is for. Events should be for socializing, not be out and about all day and just be there for the picture. As we have stated in the past When the WGA holds an event without temp caches, then we might attend it. But then again, now at least Miata will be there to talk to while everyone is out trying to get all the temp smileys on Uncle fun’s Cache

So I guess my idea of putting out a dozen caches called “Cache” just to annoy Marc doesn’t have much of a point any more

But you have to get all 12 in the same small park 528 ft from each other

Val and I have had our fair share of moments over the years, we got stuck in the sping mud going to one of Little Otters Waterfall Caches. we got stuck in the sand at another, going for a first to find, and just recently have got stuck in the mud with our 4 wheel drive. As for run ins with the police we have gotten pulled over for speeding, broken tail light, and once in Wyoming at about 10 at night, had the help from a state trooper to find a cache after I had parked on the side of a access road, aparently there was a prison break nearby and they were looking for the suspect, I was glad he helped find it, he had a better flashlight and was like having a security guard. (still got a warning ticket for it as i had a tire hanging across the white line)

                              Give up the duct tape,

Krylon Camoflage Ultra Flat Spray Paint, Its available in 4 colors Olive Drab, Brown, Khaki, and Black. The New stuff even has the fusion technology which means it sticks to plastic as well as metal very well, using 3 colors we painted over 30 caches last year, and had to buy two colors this year after painting 20 more have checked on the ones painted last year and its still holding up well.

Well Ill pull out the bazooka first, Its been hashed out in the past about our Wisconsin Spirit Quest Caches, They are pattered after the Indiana Spirit Quest caches and sorry but we will not change them, I might consider numbering them, but don’t remember the order the were placed, but now they are not just in Oconto county, we have put out another 20 this year that are in Langlade, Oneida, Forest, and Marinette. We have never had any other complaints about them, If you would set your smart names to unique in GSAK before you put it in you palm and GPS, they will be different.
