Okay… step by step on figuring this out please????
    Mrs. TE

    1. Download your “My Finds” Pocket Query to GSAK
    2. Download the Elevation macro from this LINK
    3. Run the macro in GSAK (MACRO>RUN/MANAGE) then highlight “elevations.gsk” and click “Run”

This took awhile to run, so make sure you have some time to let it run.

    Hopefully this helps…

Yes, I was just coming in to post and thank Barry and Valerie for taking them for us. Thank you very much!

On the flip side, I would like to take a moment to say how pleased I am that there are so many great puzzles in Green Bay. We have made several trips to Green Bay where the only reason we went there was to hunt puzzle caches. I wish we had more puzzles in our area. I can understand the op’s frustration, but don’t flame puzzle hiders, as there are those of us that enjoy puzzles much more than any other type of cache.

Wow, that is a very nice looking eye catching coin, well done.

Bump in case you are looking for something to do this weekend.

I was eyeballing this one for a milestone find in the future, what with it;s pirate-y theme and all…now with an even fancier pedigree, I might have to make this a higher priority!

We took a special trip to make this a major milestone for us, we were not sorry that we did so.

I wear a pedometer for a walking challenge that I am doing through work. One day while caching in Muskegon, MI last month I walked 16,000 steps while caching during the day. Assuming a 2.5 ft stride length, I walked approximately 7.5 miles that day. Of course I am 6’2, so my stride length is usually a little longer than 2.5 feet. 😀

I didn’t know that…. the things you learn when you read another state’s forums!

    😆

    in reply to: TICKS #1926701

We cached on Friday in Gov Thompson State Park, Crivitz area and Menominee, MI and pulled about 20-25 ticks between the two of us. They don’t bother me much as I grew up spending a ton of time in the woods, but Lynn is a city girl and does a funny dance every time she sees one. 😆

Is that true? Every state but Wisconsin allows this? Reading that statement really made me cringe as most “every” and “all” statements turn out to be false.

in reply to: Phone a friend list idea #1920227

I have used the Michigan PAF friend list quite often in the past, especially while traveling to the lower peninsula in areas that we wouldn’t typically revisit after I could send an email.

I have also made several new friends by using the PAF list to call someone I have never spoken to before (or have them call me while passing through the UP) to ask about a cache. I have never had a bad experience being a part of the list and have actually wondered why you guys in WI don’t start something like this.

I would definitely be interested in being part of this (if you allowed me to) as I cache in NE Wisconsin fairly often and some of you cache in our area of the UP as well.

This PAF list doesn’t have to be a formal WGA run thing, it could just be undertaken by a volunteer who is willing to maintain and update the list regularly to add new people to it and delete those people who no longer wish to be a part of it. The most important thing is to only share the list with people who have signed up to be members. I have never been solicited in any way because of this list in the 2+ years I have been on it.

Just taking a quick look at the MI list, there are 210 people from all parts of the state and surrounding states who are a part of it.

Kind of looks like Colorado to me.

That was my firs thought, we do not have front license plates in Michigan.

I have no interest in watching a cache an hour away.

There is one cache an hour (or a little bit less) away from you that if you watched it would help you to solve the puzzle… 😈
