YES! They are actually two different links.

In the mean time, if you end up at the “no new posts” page, you should be able to click on the Forum Index link.

Hmmm… I see the problem ZB.
I’m trying to avoid creating icons for every single feature of the website, but we might just have to have a Forums icon and a separate New Posts icon. It’s popular and quite useful.
Let me think on the best way to do this.

    Ok, how about this…
If you are logged in, the link is to New Posts. If not logged in, the link is to the main forums list.
Try it out and let me know if that’s acceptable.

Nice ideas Pat, and yes you may make those suggestions.

in reply to: Website Suggestion – Upcoming Events #1973918

This has been tested and it works as intended. When the end time of an event passes, the event is no longer shown.

Look Who’s on Medicare was listed with an end time of 3AM. While the admin of the Upcoming Events module has done a fantastic job, occasionally mistakes happen. We apologize for your inconvenience.

Events are recorded with start and end times. They should stay on the list until the end time is reached.
I’ll check to see if it works as intended.

I’m really not sure what the purpose of this thread and poll is. To force the WGA to do something? To prove a point? To piss off the webmaster?
    Good job.

in reply to: winter caches #1973605

There are a few ways to determine if a cache is findable in the winter months, but the best way I have found is to look for caches that have Found logs since the last snow storm. If it hasn’t been found since before the first snowfall, there’s probably a reason.

Just for kicks, here is the cache density of all archived caches in Wisconsin.

Here’s the density of Multi Caches in the state.

Just in case anyone wants to know where all the blue question marks are in the state..

Dragging this thread out of the dust bin.
I found a better way to create the cache density heat map. Easier and looks better. It’s still not useful for anything other than something pretty to look at.
