DISQUALIFIED!!!!
Have a super-dee-duper day. Then we call them out on it and publicly humilate them.
Since the owner has to restart it, and the owner already moved it, there is zero miles. The miles from China to where it is restarted are not counted. The next move is, but only from where it was restarted at.
SL prefers to do her geo-stalking the old fashioned way.
I’ve done 25(ish) on the list. Surprisingly, most of them were pre-caching.
Ballots will be handed out when you register for the event. Vote for your favorite night cache. Winners will be announced on Sunday morning at the pancake breakfast and on the website.
It is a game. There are points awarded. That alone will make it a competition.
The WGA Lonely Cache Game is, as far as I can determine, by far the most sucessful lonely cache “game” anywhere. Part of the reason is because it’s a game, with points and winners.
The rules have worked for several years, and there were no proposed changes brought up at the LCG event. If changes need to be made to the rules or administration of the game, it will probably not happen because of vague accusations of cheating.
If clearifications to the rules on a specific issue are needed, then a PM or email to one of the administators would probably be the quickest and easiest way to get a definitive answer.
We’re still looking for a few more people for placing a night cache. You can leave a note here just to let everyone know and to make planning a little easier if you like.
The night caches will be placed along the Lake O The Dalles trail. Watch for signs and more information at the registration area.

Made from 100% real aliens.

Good job CJ!
Don’t forget to set a filter for found caches if you don’t have a seperate database for them.EDIT: Scratch that. I didn’t see the “Where Found” the first time through…
Like I said, not for a novice, but someone with intermediate GSAK macro experience and a little background in SQL could create a nice, easy to use macro that would spit out exactly what comkelp is asking for. If CJ or Wayne haven’t posted a solution by the time I get home, I’ll see if I can throw something together.

Not sure of a macro, but thinking this should be doable via the built in filtering. You may need to do 26 filters (one for each starting letter), but …
Don’t have my PC with GSAK handy right now, so I can’t test my theory. Writing a macro to do this should be pretty easy though and maybe I’ll give it a whirl tomorrow.
Not something for a novice, but this could be done rather easily in GSAC using SQL in a macro. I don’t have GSAK on this computer, so I’m not sure of the exact syntax and filed names, but something like this might work.
SELECT DISTINCT LEFT(CacheName, 1) As 'Name Starts With', COUNT(*) As 'Total'
FROM CacheTable
GROUP BY Left(CacheName, 1)
ORDER BY Left(CacheName, 1)“LEFT” might actually need to be SubStr(CacheName,1,1) or something like that.
The likelyhood of us canceling the race, or of Wayne taking his racer out of it are not very high.
