The LasVegas.com didn’t work for us either. We went to http://www.hardrockhotel.com and found the live webcams from there.

Team Cachebarr logs a webcam cache in beautiful Las Vegas! Ever since first seeing this post of Ken and Robin’s, I have been wanting to come across one of these geocaches. Well, it finally happened. You can see me and my mom here:

You will see a photo of me on the phone with my dad who is in Illinois and locating us on the webcam and shot the photo. How truly neat and cool this was! Made my vacation that much more enjoyable and memorable!

Very interesting descriptions Grousetales, but I do agree with you 100%!

I think it sounds great! Our “Feel The Need For Greed” geocache definately needs a motor vehicle to get from cache to cache! But we give credit where credit is due. You get to log a find at each stage of the geocache that you find. That way, those that can’t do it in one day can still log their finds. Although, I have noticed that this geocache doesn’t get very many geocachers…so, I don’t know if others do enjoy multi-stage or multi-cache types that you drive from waypoint to waypoint. We would sure like to do one!

I am sorry to have caused such a stir! But I did feel the need to be honest about our experience. By the way the hunter had talked to us, he hunts there very frequently and knows the area. And Trudy & the Beast may be right, when he seen Roman Geoskis the day before, he may have went to investigate the next day to see why they were in that part of the woods with no intentions of hunting. I don’t know if his intentions would be to come back and take the geocache away again, but I do know he knows it’s there and when I returned to my vehicle he was there speaking to another hunter and they both approached me about wearing orange…with that, I’m sure the other hunter may have kept a more opened eye while he was travelling in the woods to see if he could find it and investigate the contents.

I would just hate to see this geocache get archived completely. The nature of it with the Christmas season makes for a great family cache hunt!…..but, I am concerned of its location!

Thank you, thank you very much! We rested from geocaching for awhile in the summer, but lookout, we are winter cachers, and we are getting our winter clothes out and ready!

Hi Chris. This is Betty, 1/4 of Team Cachebarr! We met briefly while on the camp-out doing one of the night geocaches. I happen to be planning a vacation to Las Vegas the first week in January with my mom. Should I bring my GPS?

in reply to: number of finds no longer listed? #1744993

I just noticed that myself. Don’t care for it, really. I enjoy seeing the number of finds next to cacher(s) names. They also changed some information on the bottom the cache location pages as well.

Sounds like a great diet plan to me!

We would like to congratulate Humidor who was the first to completely succeed the “Feel The Need For Greed” geocache! Way to go HUMIDOR!!!!!

We have been watching their travels all along. They started in our Water’s Edge cache and we took them home to add an army partner to the team that we found getting cramped in my son’s toy chest. So, we have been watching to see if they are getting into any trouble. Nice to see they are guarding our Nation’s Capitol for awhile!

Very cool story! Wow! What are the odds of that…crossing paths! Geodawgs did an excellent description of the hitchhikers travels. Thanks for sharing the story with us!

We had a tremendous amount of fun playing this game. I would tend to agree with jthorson somewhat because we did have to travel quite a distance to play. But we also knew that going in! It was just hard for us to get the code caches because it fell at the holiday weekend and then with working, and the one-week time restriction, we had a pretty tough time getting to them.

But we did our best and had a terrific time playing the game…..Would we do it again…YOU BET!

Thanks Team Rusch for a new twist in geocaching. We enjoyed it very much!

in reply to: Beginners’ Hunt this Wednesday #1734999

Sounds COOL! Wish we could be there to listen in and get a few more pointers or even help out since it’s extremely close to home! Darn it! I work late on Wednesday. I guess I have to wait to the camp-out to meet everyone!

For any new geocachers……GO! I know from first hand with Team Cachecows that you will be educated and ready to geocache once you learn from the Pro’s! Have fun!

No hurry on our end. The more the merrier! (I hope I spelled that right!)
