The system doesn’t work that way. You can’t have both lists available at once. Just use a cache with the same difficulty and terrain as a proxy. (For DNFs, just the same terrain is good enough).
Not to throw a wrench in the works, but I thought we couldn’t place caches in Atzatlan, due to the archeological significance of the site. Has anyone contacted the DNR about specific approval for this site? I’ve never had anyone even try to submit a cache there.
Too bad. This is understandable, however. There are always people who will try to take advantage of anything. I suppose I should have taken my GPS back to REI instead of sending it to Garmin under warranty, but I’m still happy with my unit, so no worries.
With regards to the Iphone loading, there really isn’t any need to load. The caches were all available on the Geocaching app starting at 6AM. I was there in the afternoon (3-6) and showed several IPhone users how to access the caches (and filter so you don’t have all the normal caches in the list.) Hopefully you figured this out.
For the future, it is really much easier to download a pocket query of the caches to your GPS ahead of time. The file was available on the website at just after 6 AM, so either you could get it before you leave home or stop by a local fast food joint and download it there.
Based on what was seen at the cache bash, I’d say that roughly 10% of geocachers do the “cell phone only” method. It is doable, but most phone GPS units adjust much more slowly than a dedicated GPS. As long as you are willing to go a little slow (and aren’t out of cell phone coverage for the descriptions, etc.) a cell phone can work. Not what I do usually, but once in a while, I will just grab the phone and go.
It seems like this might fly in the face of the CoC goal of driving people to local businesses. The fairgrounds is pretty remote.
You can use these.

Note that this is for the old Delorme, not the new, in Wisconsin.
That would be the flatlander paradise of Illinois. When we cache around home, we end up in Illinois about every 10th time.
If you REALLY don’t want to have the souvenir, you will need to log your find on a different day. Note that even if you change the date of your log to a different day after receiving a souvenir, you still keep the souvenir. There is no provision for removing a souvenir once it is issued to you. This has been confirmed by the programming monkeys at gc.com. Note that these souvenirs all work the same, so if you accidentally log a cache in France, you will still have the souvenir after you delete your log.
There is a place in your registry where you can reset it back to “non-classic”. Since I have no intention of switching back (!), I didn’t save the link, but I’m sure you can Google it.
Actually, it is. As far as all multis, Collectibles Cache is the second oldest. The first published multicache to be archived was GC1577, which was active for only one month.
It doesn’t sound like they picked ranges that match your profile, so you will need to use something like GSAK to filter your list of finds by distance.
I believe that comes with a basic map, and you can purchase detailed maps (or at least you could when it was new). I would suggest that you just stick with the base maps on that unit if you want to use most of your memory for geocaches.
I would suggest that the following link is probably the best choice for a list of challenges. This guy seems to be maintaining the list as well as possible.

Oh, one more thing. There are few challenges on this list that are not legal according to current guidelines. They include those challenges for number of hides (this has not been allowed since 2009), number of FTFs (as far as I know, this has never been allowed), and number of DNFs (also never allowed). Please do not copy these challenges in your own area, as they will not be published.
I agree that the icons used for this map are not optimal (the clustering is user selectable by rightclicking on the map). So far, I haven’t found a way to get different icons.
