Differences in opinion are a great thing. they have made our country what it is. Using different opinions and points of view to reach a solution are the best way to get the best results.
However, when an accusatory nature is taken when trying to express your point of view the only thing that is going to be built is a wall. How is that going to get the best results.
Humor On
Lawnmower Blog,
I started it up today to fid out that I had just enough gas to get 3/4 of it cut. Had to go to the gas station to get gas. While there I bought some beer………
Maybe I should give it a try.
Humor off
We as a group seem to argue over the numbers an awful lot. But here are some numbers that I picked up refering to the victims of the attack 5 years ago.
We cannot argue these. In fact we can reflect on them and never forget the events that happened that day.nearly 2,800 victims
fewer than 300 whole bodies found
fewer than 1,600 victims identified
over 1,100 victims remain unidentified
over 800 victims identified by DNA alone
nearly 20,000 pieces of bodies found
over 6,000 pieces small enough to fit in test-tubes
over 200 pieces matched to single person
nearly 10,000 unidentified pieces frozen for future analysisPeace be with all the innocent victims.
Ok the Fu has a companion named Maverick.
I am getting an image of her flying in a fighter jet to get the first to find with Maverick by her side. Suddenly after the find he breaks into a rendition of “You’ve lost that lovin’ feeling.”
Don’t get caught in a wash and have to eject or the relationship will be over too fast.
Gander Mountain also had an E-Trex legend for $99 in yesterdays paper.

Maybe you should follow your own advice and not look at the forums.
The forums are not bothering me, therefore I will still read them.
It is people with a lot of bent up frustration that cannot seem to get over a disagreement with another, that I do not spent much if any time on the GC.com forums.
Why not set up some public bookmarks of the caches that are nice hikes, or out of the way places that someone from Southern WI will want to make a trip up there and see all these places. In a way market the high quality of the caches that you have. Separate them from the urban micros.
If the stats bother you, Don’t look at them!!

Let’s not turn this into a geocaching.com forum!
Right on

Ahhh… the dead horse 🙂 . Needs a few flies, because she’s been dead a loooong time. Couldn’t we leave this on the national boards where angst and hand-wringing are a sanctioned pasttime?
This bugbear rears it’s pestilential head every year and every year we all espouse our opinions and go back to our corners convincing no one but ourselves. That won’t prevent me from opining a bit once more. I will say in advance that these opinions are mine only, and if anyone respects my opinion they shouldn’t. There’s no such thing as an expert geocacher
I don’t log event finds, but that doesn’t make me some kind of white knight. It makes me someone who has chosen to play the game MY way. Period. When the cache owner specifically states that your are allowed to log multiple stages on a multi cache, I do. That does not make me a minion from the fiery pits of hell. It makes me someone who has chosen to play the game MY way. Period. Geocaching.com is not a governing body, it is a listing service.
If the numbers aren’t important, why is so much time and energy expended on other peoples’ numbers? If people play for numbers, great. It is the pleasure they are deriving from our hobby. If people play because their dog likes the taste of broken McToys, great. It is the pleasure they are deriving from the hobby.
I’m sure the family down the street who logged their third find couldn’t give a fig about any of this. They’d probably more likely be baffled that anyone would spend all of their free time doing this. Would you punish them for logging the cache they found at an event? And why? To what purpose?
Sorry that I’ve done nothing but fuel this discussion, but I needed to say that 😳 . Here’s your stick back Tie.
Exactly my thoughts on the whole topic. This is a hobby that people can play their own way.
Cache, Don’t Cache
Log, Don’t Log
Meet People, Don’t Meet peopleDo it your way, and don’t bother others about your position on it.

To clarify …
I like the spinning logo … but only for the web page.
For t-shirts, it might be best to go for the non-spinning version … maybe it’s personal preference, but I hang my GPSr around my neck and would hate for the lanyard to get tangled in the logo.
Well if we put the spinning logo on a hat it could also be a fan and cool us down on the hot caching trips through the Gauntlet.
I have Betty reserved for the day I get my companion. That way when she gets me there I can scream out “Oh Betty!”

We’re not a cult! We’re a loose affiliation of like-minded individuals. Now drink your Kool-aid. It prevents DNFs.
Yes, “Grand Master of Many Finds” I’ll drink my Kool-Aid before dawn.
Wow Bob thats a nice unit. Took a bit of GeoCoin as well. But it will be well worth it in the end after you stop taking all the wrong turns.
Up here in Appleton I guess Alderman Kalata would say we have a “Cult of Cachers”
