CONGRATS HONEYBUNNIES!!! Glad to see the WI Geocac Benchmark cache was one on the way to the milestone. 😀

So, top spot next week then? 😆 🙂

Thanks! I was really surprised there weren’t more people out for the GEOCAC benchmark. We did it mid-morning Sunday and were the only ones for the weekend in the logbook.

As for that top spot by next week… Wouldn’t Wade and Tami be surprised 😆 . We’ll just be happy to someday reach that mark.

This achievement isn’t much different than mayflies. Here for one fleeting moment then gone. I do believe you’ll see someone or another in second by tomorrow. Thanks for thinking of us though 😉 .

Very cool. Thanks for all the hard work in getting this out. I think that one will have to be on the radar soon.

Multis can be great vacation caches, and some of our all-time favorites are multis from trips. Sign multis are good trip caches, and sometimes a pretty spot will have waypoints at the best views. We’ve also seen some old virtuals that were listed as multis because of all the waypoints. Gettysburg and Bandelier National Monument both have multi virtuals that come to mind.

I guess it comes down to what you like. We do a lot of multis, but my favorites are the ones that show me something or share some history. Zig-zagging across a one-block park for multiple stages isn’t nearly as fun. For the most part we do them all, but the longest ones depend on mood. The twelve-stager might get shelved for a different day, or be the first cache of the day and then planned around.

I licked Chuck Norris because Big Bird told me to and he’s my leader…

For something really interesting, try this one at the table: Schadenfreude pie. http://whatever.scalzi.com/2006/09/26/how-to-make-a-schadenfreude-pie/

Too bad about the muggling, I planned on checking it out tomorrow. Lighthouse Nut, if you check these boards I’d be happy to drop a container and keep this one going. Whether they are right or wrong is irrelevant to me, but I’m not wrong to hunt a cache on public lands…

Pumpkin pie was an easy choice here. It’s comforting to observe even simple traditions like this. Apple pie is year-round, but what’s Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie? 😀

I was going to answer “just check the ‘I haven’t found’ box”, but I forgot that that doesn’t apply on bookmark PQs. Lame. GSAK can do everything… Deejay?

    Congrats Marc 8) .

That was a tough puzzle too. Now my puzzles are mostly “Honey, what did you feed Noah yesterday?!” Winter is coming though, and with it time to solve a few more humdrum conundrums.

I’m a big believer in the spring vacation. No people, no lines, everywhere to ourselves, and it’s just as pretty.

We’ve had great luck in the lower Mississippi Valley in the spring, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi. Last spring was Missouri and there was still ice on the northern lakes in the state, and a dusting of snow in some spots of the Ozarks.

It’s still a crapshoot with the weather, but the only way to totally avoid snow is to go somewhere that doesn’t get it. Temps for us were anywhere from high 40s to high 60s.

If you have the flexibility, check the snow cover maps as the time approaches, but take them with a grain of salt, because they had us convinced we’d be seeing six inches of snow in parts of Missouri and we never saw much more than a trace.

Drop us a line if you’d like some more detailed info!

How you run your query is almost identical to mine, but I do check the “Is Active” box to do away with whatever is disabled. Everything else is kept in, and the final slicing and dicing is done in GSAK. I thought the observation that ECs were getting less traffic than co-located physicals was interesting too. Often, but not always, they’re some of the best caches we do. They certainly took us to some of the most memorable places on our fall trip.
