Congratulations Pat! We haven’t seen you in quite some time. Hope we can change that.
I too vote none of the above. It’s flattering that people believe in us though. I’ve enjoyed looking at the stats and standings and seeing us improve, but they’d be meaningless without all the joy we’ve found out in the woods and fields. Any which way, from this point it’s about a two year haul to the conclusion of this little wager.
Marc’s assessment was pretty accurate, and we will indeed probably slow down when our new addition arrives. We will see that milestone though 😀 .
Thanks for the congratulations everyone! Indeed two-stage caches do seem to run in Marie’s family, so you never know, but I’m hoping for a traditional regular. We’ve agreed to keep this a mystery cache as well, but I can’t help but think that when the opportunity arises Marie will want to solve it. As far as slowing us down, we were hoping another set of eyes would speed things up.
In all seriousness though, thank you everyone. We can’t wait to tackle this next adventure in life, and sharing some of the fun with all of you 😀 .
Well, my good friend, a long-winded and hearty congratulations is in order, but I’ll save it for the next time we share some logbooks. Suffice it to say that 5,000 couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. You have been an excellent ambassador for the sport in Wisconsin, and one of the greatest proponents of the idea that the journey is indeed the destination. We bow humbly to the Leading Light of Western Wisconsin Geocaching 😉 . Congratulations Ralph!

Wasn’t there a cache in Wisconsin that asked you to hike any section of the Ice Age Trail and for your log you would put the starting and finishing coords for the section you hiked?
That was the old locationless cache Ice Age Trail Hike Loghttp://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=252ac404-c286-400c-9119-cf5c587fe04d.
Might be useful, might not. It’ll be fun to see the final results. As fast as they’re coming out, I wouldn’t be surprised if you quickly need a second bookmark.
Don’t know how this one slipped down the list, but congratulations Doc!
Congratulations on your milestone 😀 . Putting up numbers AND putting out some incredibly inventive caches. That’s a fierce combination!
Glad we could be there Justin. Keep it up. The Pope needs more finds!

I was almost scared off by the nauseating, yucky picture featured on Welcome, but did the series anyway. 🙂

I understand. Few people can handle all that manliness. Luckily my wife is one of them. And luckily for you, you don’t have the picture of me trying to hold down my billowing dress over the subway grate 😉 .
Pike Powder Hike:http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC3B1 is the oldest active in the state. We did it for #2,000 and it’s highly recommended.
Thanks for the advice and offers gang, the crisis has ended. I called Garmin Customer Support, and their reputation has only grown. I’ll be receiving one free in the mail next week.
Just like the “?” series, this one’ll be missed. We had a great time hunting rooms, weapons and suspects Dave. We look forward to the next new idea 😀 .

It is outside of an extremely small town in north-western WI.
Those of us who live up here would still consider this southwest wisconsin. North doesn’t really start until Highway 29, and our friends to the north would say not until Highway 8 😉 .
We plan on hitting this one this weekend. But being a Bandits cache it’s bound to be good.

Hey Matt,
Why not put em in a cache somewhere as a FTF prize??? I know ya want to. Go ahead and be a good guy and leave us a nice FTF prize.
thanks.

Ahhhh…. So Ralph is asking you to basically just give HIM the tickets. Maybe a second or third to find prize would be more appropriate 😆 .
