Told you it wouldn’t last long… Zuma now leads by eight. I can feel the weight lifting from my shoulders 🙄 😆 .
Okay my friend, we’re ahead by like three. Not exactly a towering accomplishment 😉 . ‘Sides, it’s just a number. So are we still on for Sunday 😯 ?
For those who don’t follow all the silliness, Zuma and the two of us have been within 100 caches of each other for something like the last 3,000 finds, and it flip-flops fairly regularly, though Zuma has held it firmly in his sweaty hands for the last several months. I wouldn’t be surprised to be #5 again by the weekend.
Cool! I always wanted a groupie, but Marie wouldn’t let me keep one.
But to really be amazed, you should meet some of the rabid Zuma groupies. And yes he does sign body parts 😆 .
Congratulations guys! Glad we could be there to see some of those, and swap stories about even more. See you soon!
Congratulations on your first 1,000 8) . Look forward to running into you again. What was the milestone cache?
Better make sure that machete’s sharp or you’ll only make it angry 😯 .
Alright Natloh 8) ! This one came out after we did all the other KVRs, but now I’m salivating to return. You chose a beauty, and congratulations on your milestone!
Sorry to see this Lorrie. I wouldn’t imagine you would adopt any out unless you had to. After everyone has chosen what interests them, if you still have some caches you need help with drop me a line. If there’s one thing about geocaching, it seems we have friends everywhere 😀 .
I’ll confess to being a really hard judge of movies. We went and saw it last night. Where I would give the first two four stars out of four, the third would be three to three and a half. Something happened about 3/4 of the way through where tiny plot holes showed. But great action! Before Daniel Craig came along and saved the Bond series I would have called these the spiritual successor to Sean Connery’s Bond.
We’ll second all of the above. Anyone who hasn’t been there is in for a real treat with these. We attended the Wildcat Mountain event last year and had big silly smiles on our faces all morning. Highly recommended.
Did you visit the GNTH caches?
Yes, at least a dozen.
Did you enter the prize drawing?
No, forgot all about it on my desk, same with the Chippewa Valley event this year.
Did you spend the night in the area?
No, only about one and a half hours away, but did have a few meals on our two ventures to the area.
Do you have any ideas for future GNTH’s?
The variety and quality were quite good, and it’s a beautiful area for caching. Others will not agree maybe, but I didn’t see the excitement in being the first to log a travel bug related to the event. I like the idea of a geocoin offering quite a lot (imagine that 😉 ). Don’t neccessarily need another t-shirt, but they are a good affordable promotional item. All in all, it seems like it was a big success, and we look forward to curing some of our late-winter blahs with this again next year 😀 .
There are a few guys out there like this. One claims to visit caches in an ethereal state while engaging in transcendental meditation. Another I’ve heard of uses a flight simulator program to “fly” himself to remote caches and then claims a virtual find. If you’re finding pleasure in some weird variant of the game, more power to you, but yer gonna get called on it once in a while.
Really wish we could be joining in the shenanigans, but we’ll be celebrating our first anniversary on the road. Hope everyone has a blast.
I don’t know why, but they just don’t excite me as much this year. We got one in the mail, and have seen several in caches and left them for others. Seems there are quite a few more out there this year.
Congratulations from the center of the state as well 8) .
