Soon to find out on AFDRE. Already have it all planned out.

Here are 25 caches that have been out there the longest without ink touching their log. If there was a most wanted list? How long should the list be?
Oldest 25

We all have our preferences, but since the mission of LCG is to help maintain the integrity of ALL caches placed within our borders, discriminating based on type doesn’t fit the mission of the game. JMO
I knew that was coming. Yes Yes. Good Good. So how do we get them logged? Keep the Lonely caches moving around.

Here is where I got the number 133. Bottom right of image.

I’m just throwing an idea out here. I don’t even know if it is plausible but I will go into details anyway. It might spark some more ideas. How do you even tell a mystery from a puzzle without manually looking at the cache page. Currently 133 caches out of the 491 caches are Mystery caches. Some are part of the WSQ or FOG. I have been going through a lot of them. One I am looking at WCC GC2VDAV Now this cache can be found by getting 4 codes out of a possible 18 caches. Not easy but physically attainable (every geocache in order to be found must be physically went to and signed) because you can go out find the caches and solve the mystery. Like historical markers or educational markers. Some caches just might not be solvable for some and when the players are already limited the chance of them being found are even more limited. I will go through some I have been working on. These are the ones close to me so yes several of these are from the same CO. GC1454F GC1PDVG GC2RZ0P GC3F26B GC195ZK GC26P1E GC1B8AP (this is not even Braille, not Grade 1 or Grade 2, so I don’t even know what it is) If someone want to start giving me the coords I will go out and grab every one of them. It doesn’t matter how you do it you just have to sign the log. Find some people that can solve them. Recruit them to the Lonely Cache Game and get them up there to find them. Okay, I’m ready. Let me have it.

What about making a cap on the amount of cache types allowed in the 500 Lonely Caches. In other words make it so that no more than 50 or 100 caches out of the 500 can be puzzles. Only so many people play the lonely cache game and if most of them are not able to solve the puzzles they will never be found taking up real-estate for caches the majority will go out and find.

I figured the Banana Bomb would have came up and it did. I do also recommend not searching “hiding banana”. I will admit this should be in the “off topic” section but there is one thing that differentiates bananas from honey that would make one be better than the other when hiding a cache. A neat fact dare I say. I thought for sure a puzzle cacher would hunt it down because they solve stuff that seems impossible.

Think like a hider. Do some research. Banana

Do you think having an event in one of the epicenters of Lonely Caches would help? And right after writing that I see that the last one was pretty close to one.

The WGA logo is not showing up on the banner page or any of my cache pages new, old or other cachers geocache page descriptions I checked. Would it have anything to do with images being stored off site? Just throwing that last part out there.

2014 event never made it above zero with 20 mph winds. 2015 was Valentines Day and it never made it above 0 and and 40 mph wind gusts while we were out snowshoeing. So naturally I must know the coldest day of each year to plan the event.

Hunting and fishing. All though geocaching definitely takes a back seat and I would normally not go out of my way for one but I cannot pass it up if I am hunting and fishing very close. Very Close. Unless I am with the group; then there is no time for them to let me grab a cache. Spent 9 days last year up in Dryden Canada hunting. There was a cache 386 feet behind the hotel and I never made it back to the hotel during daylight hours. We are pretty serious. Finally before we were leaving on the last day I was going to try for one but it was out on a rock out crop over a river. Armed with only a pen slopping through the mud while it was raining, at about 100 feet away, I thought it is way to slippery to climb out there and I am way to far from anywhere and don’t feel like getting hurt or dying here and never did grab a cache. Scott543 asked me at the LCG Event this weekend. I see you set the date for the 3rd Annual Snowshoeing at the Chippewa Moraine Event for February 13th, 2016. How did you know that will be the coldest day of the year?

Changes to the LCG should and always have been driven by the members that play the game. While I agree that some of the things discussed and decided by the BOD don’t require input form the membership (that’s why we have a BOD), I don’t think that this isn’t one of those things. If the forum goes crazy on one of the ideas, wouldn’t it be negligent of the BOD not to implement that idea it it’s reasonable?
I completely agree. Especially with the reasonable part. I just want to know more and make us look organized when we go to the members. They look to us as the authority and any prior information we cobble together will help us better answer and pull ideas from the members.
