Funny you ask, I also just received an I-Pod Touch. If you download the Geocaching app and run a PQ while connected to wifi they will be put in the saved section.

If you just want to add one or a few caches while connected to wifi, search which caches you like and on the cache page click add to favorites. Then when offline you can view the cache page in your favorite section.

Last spring I took my oldest son to Gettysburg and we cached along the way. We found a cache in all six states we traveled through. The problem with caching on a trip like that even with wayside caches it still added a lot of time to a very long drive. Not to mention we dipped south and hit West Virginia just for the sake of caching in a new state. I think we added 4 hours and never left sight of the interstate.

But once we arrived at the battlefield the only caches we found were quality and I ignored all the guardrails. The beauty of caching in an area like that was the things you can see that a regular visitor probably would have never seen.

I personally always plan caching around trips.

Not to stray from the topic but many of you have said next year is already on your calendar. What is the date for next years event?

    Thanks

    Thanks!
It is a great road to drive on, this gives me another reason to make the trip, again. Next time fall though, I am guessing it is a beautiful drive that time of the year.

    Thanks cheeto 🙄

It just figures that I planned my whole trip based on the fact that I would clear all the pages over there and the map book I have differs from the one used for the challenge cache.

    Thanks for your reply.
So is the cache I mentioned above not on page 58a?

I did a bunch of them too over the holiday weekend and like you owe a few photos myself. I am having a tough time finding the last supper. I even have a few pictures that I took here at home that I still need to upload.

    Great series! Thanks Marc

I posted this link on the WGA Facebook page and I thought this would be a good spot too. This link is the app for your stat bar to be seen on your Facebook page.
