On a Garmin 60 CSx you would use the Find button to display all your waypoints, then use the menu button and select delete. It then prompts you with which type of waypoints to delete (or all). I am guessing the Legend will follow a similar procedure.
I tried your suggestion and it worked like a charm. I still slapped my forehead that I didn’t know this. thanks for the reply.

team_red,
Bring the GPS to the event on Saturday. I can show you there how to do it. I’m sure there will be plenty of others there to help as well.

Thanks Uncle_Fun, I will do that.
I know I’ll be slapping my forhead once you show me. See you there.

BarbCudos to whomever decided to give this a go. I don’t always get logged on to the site, so it’s nice to get the highlights of what’s been going on. 🙂
Everyone have a safe and Merry Christmas.

My 13 year old son goes caching with me periodically. It’s a chance for us to spend fun time together and make memories. I also enjoy just getting out and discovering nature and seeing places I might not have otherwise known about. I also love the thrill of searching for the cache. Every time I go out, it’s a new adventure.
Thanks for the info on the Beta link. I like those maps and hope the link stays. 🙂

I agree with Team_SWAG. I really like the rating system idea. I myself just cache for the enjoyment of it, not the numbers. (Obviously when I haven’t hit 100 caches found yet.) I do it when I can, which averages every other week. Even if the cache is mediocre, I’m happy that someone took the time to place it just so it could be found. I’m happy this sport gives me a reason to get away from the tv and enjoy the outside. During the last two weeks, I’ve even starting caching in the dark, which I find is so much fun. So it seems to me that rating caches will help those looking for the “wow”, and the rating won’t matter to those who aren’t.
When I started out geocaching, We stocked our backpack by going to the $1 store and also to the American Science and Surplus store (fun/cheap stuff for kidsand adults)we have in the neighborhood. I wasn’t sure what would be the norm to find in caches. I was surprised. What we’ve seen it mostly junk left. Since, we don’t have one of our own cache’s out there yet, I feel I really have no right to complain. The themed caches we have found, seem to have better items in them for trading. We did one member’s only caches, and that too had been pretty much cleaned out.
I think no matter which day you plan, you won’t be able to please everyone. Since we’re still pretty new to geocaching, I’ve only attended 2 events. One happened to be on Saturday and one on Sunday. I feel either day can be a winner, depending on what else you have going on.
