If I had a cion I wanted to put out I would do the same thing. If the paper one goes missing its easier to replace than muying a new coin right.

yeah with gas the way it is this is the reason I have a gps mount on my bike with city maps on it save a ton of gas.. But since ive cached out most of my city it makes it kinda hard to bike to caches.

    Great story thanks for sharing

As I started caching I noticed that most caches were all the same and relitively easy. So when I decided to start hiding my own caches I decided to make the the cacher think outside the geocaching box that so many of us are in. (i.e a gaurdrail). Us as a team do not care for the puzzle caches and its ok to have more caches in a area but also in the same token have some that are different.
All 3 GPS units I have (I think), phone included whether I’m in an app or not, prompt me to wave it in a figure 8 pattern for a few passes with my arm extended. This has worked every time and if I’m having accuracy issues I give it a quick wave as well and let it settle back down.
Do you have to do this when you have the compass up or when can you do this. I dont have this problem with my blackberry Trimble app

in reply to: Geocaching App for the droid #1943549

I think theres a problem with the phone it self now when I turn the gps on it says im far away from my house. I have tried both caching apps and they say the same thing now I just have to prove it to sprint. ANY IDEAS
