Thanks for the nudge to take responsibility for my caches…..
You are making a very good impression. There are at least four months of finders that were unable to sign the log that you chose not do delete. It’s obvious that responsibility had nothing to do with your decision.

Reply if you want, but I’m done.Your right, others were much more on-topic with their posts and not trolling my cache listing to complain, some even trying to leave make-shift logs in the cache while I was not attending to it. You know, a little ‘geocourtesy’ as Team Handstand suggested.
I’ll give them benefit of the doubt
But you TBC, I hold you to the utmost pinnacle of the regulations since you hold my feet to the fire the same way.
Others….
Get the benefit
Maybe when I’m not here at school we can sit down for tea and crumpets, no?

Thank you, Team Everest, for deleting my found log on one of your archived caches. You are showing your maturity and good intentions. Please feel free to delete any other found logs of mine if you feel the need to.
The cache owner will assume all responsibility of their cache listings.
The responsibility of your listing includes quality control of posts to the cache page. Delete any logs that appear to be bogus, counterfeit, off topic, or not within the stated requirements.
Your post stated you did not sign the logbook and you made another ‘apparent’ off-topic remark on the condition of the cache. With these I can not verify you were there.
Since in the rules it states I assume all responsibility for my cache listing including quality control of the posts on the page. I made the judgement to delete your post because it is unverifiable in addition to your off-topic post after your initial log.
I re-read the Cache Listing Requirements / Guidelines again and thought I would excercise my rights as the caches owner.
Thanks for the nudge to take responsibility for my caches…..

“As the cache owner, you are also responsible for physically checking your cache periodically, and especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.).
Your maintenance plan must allow for a quick response to reported problems.”
Is over a year after force-archiving quick? I guess that’s open to interpretation.
Better late than never…

I respectfully suggest your maintenance on existing caches has been terrible. After two years of ignoring your existing caches, and not responding to emails, I’m not thrilled to see more being placed.
As explained in my earlier post in the ‘General’ section, our team is comprised of college students who put in 60 hour weeks and are spread out 8 months of the year.
We have been geocaching for quite some time and enjoy it together when we are all home and do our best to keep up on our hobby. But life will be life and priorities must be set.
Emails were not ignored, but rather I lost my password and didn’t set a reminder on the email account, therefore I couldn’t get to it. I now have fixed this.
If our situation of being back and active in the geocaching community and offering new exciting caches for you nearby and enabling archived ones that were muggled or broke down over time isn’t exciting, then I’m sorry.
We do our best…..
Wind chill, what wind chill?! Team Everest is heading out today to fix two archived caches in the Wausau area.
Winter doesn’t stop us from being active 😀
Here is a site for snow depth and temps of the snow pack…..
Pretty neat :P)
I live in Wausau and just went to Fleet Farm today. They keep them in the Fishing area on the bottom shelf it seems. Bought a .50 Cal for $5 in great shape. They were fresh out of .30 Cal cans though 🙁
Team Everest is commited to putting more caches in Central Wisconsin. In fact I myself just did a trip to Fleet Farm today, sadly I could only pick up one .50 Cal can. Damn hunting season !
We have quite a number in Marathon County, and are looking to expand before the snow falls……
Keep your eye out !
Team Everest is made up of 3 college students so are time is EXTREMLY limited and are funding is well $-5. We are still working on taking care of all the ones in Marathon County! Getting harder by the week with all these new caches popping up .
Filtered – 1394
Boy we have some work ahead of us !
New cache coming to Nine Mile Forest !!!

Team Everest is still underway with the DeLorme challenge. . . Coming soon
Also congrats to RickBlick & Chick on being the FTF (GOLD) for the Wisconsin Geometry 101 Challenge! They will be going out to pick up their prize shortly! Congrats again!
Wow I never knew a couple thread’s posted would cause so much ruckus here at WGA.
We posted thread’s to let others around the state know that our area was going to be having a large influx of caches show up, and maybe you might think of a nice trip and log them at your leisure.
Secondly, thread #2 was to again notify Wisconsinites of a unique challenge oppritunity with rewards upon completion of the challenge.
You may ask why we put it in the general forum’s of WGA?Simple, the general section has the most traffic value to get the word out. Goes right back along the lines of Gerbner’s cultivation theory which states repeated intense exposure can influence behavior, something proven in the marketing field today.
Our mass media being the high traffic ‘general board’ of WGA posting to try and influence behavior. The internet is an extremly powerful tool, and I agree groundspeak does a wonderful job with notifying us of caches. We posted to try and get some discussion on it and get the word of mouth ‘medium’ to pick up.
I still cannot believe a few post’s by us has caused such heated discussion. To the people who started this thread and the folks who dragged it even further through the mud, you must wait for a ACTUAL problem that affects everyone to arise and THEN bring it to the public table, and not just start one on your own because your bored and want something to complain about.
My reply in reguards to my team’s activity. We’ve been around for YEARS, but as you stated just not active. We are busy busy college students, and also broke, who do this as a occasional hobby when all three of our schedules permit, which is far and few between.
Team Everest was planning on going to the event in Door County this spring, taking a weekend off from studying and doing some camping, but this experience has made me re-think that plan. This isn’t the first time we’ve been jumped on by the WGA community for a trivial issue, and by no means are we saying all WGA members are bad.Just some need to pull the pine cone out of their rear-end and realize
1. It’s just a hobby, it’s suppose to be fun.
2. This is just the internet, and the internet is an open forum w/ freedom of speech. I can respect yours for posting your opinion, but with a grain of salt. Mostly because of how trivial and rude the post was, but yet once again, open forum.
3. Lube generously to remove pine cone from back side.
So far only Team Honeybunnies has locked in to undertake this challenge
The challenge has been approved and is ready for those who dare undertake the challenge! Any questions can be directed on this thread or by email through our geocaching.com profile!

I am thinking to make it fair and equal to all, even if you already have half the counties/Delorme zones done, you WILL have to start over unless it only contains one cache
