never got a chance to respond to this…

We had a great time at Lowes creek.. we didn’t get to near as many caches as maybe we would like, but the first time out for the grandparents was a fun one.

This is a definate “come back to” site when we’re in the area….

Lousy with ticks, quite a few skeeters, but we made it out alive.. 🙂

Also hit a couple right off Hwy 29 on our way there… good trip! 🙂

    ya… it appears I’ve got ce 3.0

    Oh well… was a good thought… lol

    Thanks for the help!

    thanks for that…

having trouble finding the legacy versions…. but I’m not really concentrating on the search tho…

I tried putting the current version on, and it just throws an error when I try to run it… oh well…

hmmm this may very well have to do with the age of my device… it’s running CE version 3.0…

Guess the old iPaq may have been in a container in the corner collecting dust for a good reason… lol

    Hey there tyedyeskyguy…

Hide one?? lol would love to.. but we’re scratching our heads on a few micros and nanos we’ve tried…

However, we may be adopting a few caches from a buddy of mine who’s now in MO….

    Zuma,

Noticed you’re in Eau Claire… I’m sure you heard about the UW EC Softball team this year.. 😉 I’ve got a connection there…. 🙂

Also, because of that connection, we get to Eau Claire every so often and want to introduce our kids grandparents to caching… (my parents). So, if you don’t mind, I might hit you up for some comments on some fun yet relatively easy terrain spots to hit there… 🙂

I see there a bunch of them from searching geocaching.com, but some first hand experience is always kind of nice to hear from.

    Regards,
    Dusty

    Thanks for the welcome!

Yep, we’re in the Almond area… and have 14 of them under our belts already… fun stuff!

We also own a business in Stevens Point, and I was the Parks Supervisor for Waupaca County Parks for 7 years as well. I’ve gotten to know central WI pretty well over the years, but already seeing a bunch of stuff we didn’t know existed..

Hope to meet some of you out there at some point!

    Regards,
    Dusty
