Sorry for the cross post between two regions, but this might be right on the border between NE and NC. Last weekend before going to grab my first three souvenirs, I stopped at a place called Grudgeville Pub & Grub just south of Langlade. I had been there once before, and it has the typical out in the woods bar feel. Even so, they have a decent selection of beer. The burgers there are excellent too.

If you’re coming from the north, the place comes up on you quick. The coords are:
      N 45 10.846
      W 088 43.733

I’m concerned with getting wet only if I’m fully surrounded by water, not so much if I’m in a boat. . .unless it’s sinking.

Yeah, but most of the caches are still not winter-friendly, Chris.

I’m told a shovel works great for digging in the snow, and also hitting your caching buddy over the head if he finds it first. :p

If you’d like to do them in the summertime, I have a boat…much more fun.

I guess that would be more fun, and I’m still a little bit leary about going out on ice even though it’s been five whole years since my Baird’s Creek incident. I’ll let you take me by boat only if you promise not to throw my Hodag TB overboard.

Hmmm…can you get to Shoot’s by water???

Unless we have another flood of biblical proportions, no.

When I was scoping out Longtail, I came up with these coords for a good launch point for boats: N 44° 37.900 W 088° 00.876

          If you’re going snomocaching, there’s a spot near GC2TKFG.

I was out today with a friend scouting a path to the Longtail caches, and we stumbled into, rather out of, a place called Shoot’s:

              3375 Side St
              Suamico, WI 54173
Just off the County B exit of 41

After a futile half hour attempt at Keys to Happiness #1, I’ve decided that that cache will be my one and only ignore list cache. I still might have the coords in my GPS, I might not, and I could rule out future attempts, I might not.

BTW, I’ve been having the worst time with Keys to Happiness #1 – http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC4FB3Z_key-to-happiness-1 I got the first lock open, but I can’t get the second one open. Any hints anyone?

                  Bolt cutters?

😆 That’s what I first thought when I hunted this cache back in July. Aw man, I gotta see if my neighbor upstairs parents still have the ones I saw them with this spring, but they’re from all they way over in Minnesota somewhere.
But seriously, I might be making a return trip to Rhinelander this weekend for something else, so if anyone’s done this cache and can enlighten me somehow, please feel free to contact me through GC or my e-mail: [email protected]

For me it’s a tie between Michigan and Missouri with 5 apiece, and those are my only two states outside of Wisconsin. I was bouncing around the glove and the UP the summer after the Packers won Super Bowl XLV, and was getting a few funny looks as I wore my Super Bowl Champions hat the whole time I was in that state. I was down in Saint Louis two months ago for a Where’s George gathering and met up with some cachers in the group to start a TB race.

First off, this is the first I’ve ever heard of the authorization process. Second, I get an error message when I click on the link given. That said, what exactly is the end goal of this again?

I find it odd that there are only 5 members listed from Green Bay on the map, and they’re all on the East side. C’mon folks, keep ’em coming!

I’m on the map now too. I might be listed at my actual home address, or I could be listed at the neighborhood city bus stop, or I could even be listed in the hospital I was born in.
