Since the one in Allouez was brought up. . .
About a month or so ago, I crossed paths with an Allouez Village Trustee who also happens to live across the street from the park in question, and we were talking about the cache that was blown up there. From what he had told me, one of his neighbors had some friends over that morning, and one of the friends saw someone suspicious and decided to investigate. I wonder if it was a similar scenario in Ashwaubenon.

This is what I came in here to find out. TKKS, I live withing walking distance of three of your caches, and will be doing cache maintence on another tomorrow if you’d like me to help in retrieving any containers.

The best case scenario in my mind is that another cacher came along and picked it up and will log it when they get the chance, or my eyes just missed it. However, I know better, and in a lot of cases, they are missing. I’ve had something like this happen to me already in one of my caches, and after several logs of not finding the TB in question, I went and checked. The TB was gone, so I had no choice but to mark it as missing. Hopefully, it turns up again because I had heard it was a beautiful TB.

I was just thinking that if they don’t give the magnet back, just watch where it goes next, and as soon as it gets into a cache near you, grab it back. Either that or notify any future holders of the actual magnet of it’s true intentions and see if you can get it back that way.
Bartrod, that’s one big magnet you have, and I don’t see anyone walking off with it either.

I actually signed up on GC.com back in ’04, but don’t let my sign up date fool you. I had actually heard about GeoCaching way back then through Where’s George, which is a dollar bill tracking website, when there was a big bruhaha going on over in Minnesota with a user who was using phony Where’s George dollars as travel bugs. That user has since been banned from Where’s George because of that incident (among other WG related offenses at the time), but I believe he’s still active on GC. Anywho, that whole thing eventually brought me into this little hobby of ours.

I bought two Wisconsin Geo-cows a couple of years ago, placed one in a cache nearby and it disappered immediately and hasn’t been seen since. The other one I placed on the other side of the state, it made it’s way back to this side of the state, and has bogged down in a cacher’s hands who hasn’t responded to my requests to move it. Coins sure seem to have a limited life…I too think that I’ll stick to tb’s from now on although some of those have gone missing too. The coins that I’ve acquired recently are “Discover Only” now…how sad 🙁
I don’t think I’d be worried about those two at all, but you know you’re in trouble if the one you brought to KKF2 goes missing. 😯

One hint that I feel comfortable with giving here is that it is imperative to put a big fat ZERO before the 63. Hope this helps. At least this is what I would do if this was KS9WI shortcut puzzle in Green Bay.

I remember they did a commercial last year and it showed up on The History Channel. At first I thought it was just a generic “visit us” type of commercial, but it turned out to be about none other than our hobby.

I just looked at the logs for the ones I recognized, and the most recent finds were all over the map. 😕 Looks like I’ll be watching my list.

I’m pretty much the same as everyone here, because I also enjoy hearing nature, especially as I get further from the urban environment. As a general rule, I only have my MP3 player while out doing urban right in town caches, but I even rarely do that.

During the Robert O Cook event today SammyClaws and I found US Congressman Paul Ryan in the woods. He and his family were walking down one of the trails we were just getting back to after finding a cache. Is that a strange find?
Strange indeed. I don’t want to go into the details about why I think so, as it would turn the discussion into a political argument.

Makes me wonder tho, if they were “with you”, why would they have armchair logged to begin with? Chances are they’re saying that because they were called out.
I’ll admit I was tempted to armchair log at least one virt in Michigan while I was on my run up to 100 last year, one that I had actually visited before I started caching, and that I have pictures of me at the sign, and even without that, I have the answer the owner requires. I kept myself honest tho and won’t log that cache until I have pictures of me with my GPS at the site.
