That was an intriguing statistic, so I had to look it up. There are 46 Wisconsin-based geocachers listed at cacherstats.com as having 10,000 finds or more. We have met all but 4 of them and have actually found caches with 24 of them, not counting events attended. We’ve gone caching with people from other states that have over 10k, but I don’t have a good way of tracking that.

I just got back from the Holiday Parade and traditional visit to Old Chicago.  It was a decent parade, and I took some pictures of my favorite “floats”, if you can call them that.  Those included the Green Bay East High School marching band (I know the director, and I was also in said marching band 20 years ago), the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary (I know the director and his wife) and the local Dunkin’ Donuts (a friend of mine likes the place despite her sister working for Starbuck’s).

Hey there fellow thread stealers.  Just a heads up in case you missed the e-mail, there are two new souvenirs that we can get later this year and early next year.  Find a cache or attend an event on New Year’s Eve and you’ll get the Thank You 2018 souvenir.  Find a cache or attend an event on New Year’s Day and you’ll get the Welcome 2019 souvenir.  I have a couple of caches on reserve for this unless someone plans events for either or both.
