Driving up to Antigo this past weekend, I passed a restaurant that had a sign that said Dill Pickle Soup daily. Anyone ever had that? Sounds interesting.

Great feedback and discussions. Being a former US Forest Service employee, we should also consider our National Forest public lands as possible WGA venues as well. This includes the Great Lakes Visitor Center near Ashland, WI – a fantastic site for a WGA event. The Managers have been great to work with and see the value of geocaching as an educational aspect for families. No fee to visit either.
I actually like the idea of using National Forest facilities for WGA events. I say keep the ideas flowing to make this game better.

I’ve been watching this whole debate go on for a couple day now, and I think it’s a good thing being discussed here. Looking back at past WGA events, it looks like the upcoming campout is the first event between the campouts and fall picnics not to be at a State Park. However, other events have been at city and county properties across the state. My first two WGA events were at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary a few years back, and that’s owned by the city of Green Bay.

I went to see the Timber Rattlers this afternoon, and they won 5-4 in 10 innings. I was also able to grab a few caches while I was in Appleton.

Hurray Hurray, the 29th of April, camping season starts today! Okay, I get that doesn’t quite rhyme, but that’s okay. Thankfully, those pesky blood suckers aren’t in season yet. I haven’t been to the Red Cross in 20 years, but I’m still a 10 gallon blood donor thanks to the skeeters. If killing those pesky skeeters was murder, I would be a serial killer.
