Burr (grins).. March?? I’m still in hibernation mode then..
It sounds like fun.. just remember to not allow competing to distroy the fun of the sport.. Only one time I felt extreme pressure to do my best at an event.. and I almost broke down into tears.. now I know my limits..

Awww.. why thank you for the congrats! I really have enjoyed all my travels throughout our State.. each trip keeps reminding me how amazing Wisconsin is.. Thanks to other geocachers for setting all those fun caches up.. MEMORIES for a Lifetime.

I have a Lil Otter stamp but the ink is waterbased and makes for a messy entry if the logbook gets wet (smiles).. and I’m not neat enough to use perm in (grins)

I had a blast.. it was my first breakfast (honestly..I don’t normally eat breakfast or am awake at that time).. Thank you so much, GrouseTales for bringing us all together up in the woods. Sorry I missed the feast around the campfire.. I was in Pestigo by the time I checked my watch and realized by the time I backtracked.. the fire would be out (grins)

Count me in .. unless it snows (shivers) I am only an hour away from Oshkosh area and will enjoy meeting up with you. Hopefully our days can line up and we’ll get a chance to meet for a few hunts/hikes.
Jthorson reminded me that I did geocache that late in the season last year (grins) so I guess I survived the cold.. cus I’m still here (smiles)

(smiles) very nice indeed.. (blush) no teasing me about the Finds per day.. I’ve been sitting here all day and didn’t do a one (grins)

Actually I impressed BruceS while caching with him in Chicago area.. I was travelin’ at 750mph (grins) He complimented me that I was one that did keep up to his own caching speed (chuckles)

(giggles) So cute!! I always lock my keys in my car or drop them in lakes.. or.. hmm (grins)

I was lucky enough to team up with BruceS when out doing city caches the last month or so and we did 50 one day without a problem.. most city caches don’t have the long bushwhacking or such drawn out ordeals (grins) and being with someone else of my same energy level was a riot but not something I’d do often.. my normal caching day is 20+ with hundreds of miles involved to get to them.
As for losing weight.. when I’m out on my caching trips I have to watch my weight alot.. with hiking up to 12 miles per day for a few weeks at a pop can tumble my weight drastically.. but it’s great to get back home and eat all the Ben and Jerry’s I can to regain.. so yes.. it’s a great way to lose weight for me when I’m out and about. When I was in my Florida trip last winter I dropped 17 pounds by the time I came home. I usually take 3 different waist sizes of pants with me so that I know when I begin to lose too much weight while on my travels.

I’ll be out and about in the northern area as well this fall and will watch for an event page posting.. would love to gather up and meet a bunch upnorth… so hopefully your event will be approved, GrouseTales (grins)

I remember that area well.. (smiles at JThorson for taking us on a mile long journey) been there several times and I’ve seen a lil improvement (hopefully because of other geocachers).. but I still have the tennis shoes with the soles all slashed up by the broken glass. But.. on a cool note.. my last trip out there was when I discovered a 1960 Wisconsin Truck Lic Plate in great shape.. it now hangs on my garage as a memory.
I don’t understand why someone would come down on you for your concerns.. don’t worry, I felt the same way about why they’d have a dog park so close to such a ‘mess’ in the woods.

I was again at Devil’s Lake today and bought a Wisconsin State Parks T-shirt to donate as well as other items I gained today.
