My mistake. I meant to type Sunday, not Saturday. In fact, it should be going on right now. We have other plans and can’t go.

Decisions, Decisions….Hmmmmmm
12:00 Geocaching Event
12:00 PackersThat’s a hard choice, and I’m afraid we’ve already chosen the Pack.
I got that for Christmas last year. The directions are a bit confusing, but it gets easier if you play more.
My kids are afraid of the spider card. 😀
Missed the early news because the baseball game was on. Have to watch 9 and 10. They have a story up on their website. Do we know this family by their WGA name? My daughter and I are right at the end of the video.
We just got home from CacheFest too. Found all 30 and had a good time. Had a nice chat with Vince while we ate our picnic lunch. Did anyone else get swarmed by the flies on the North and Terrace loops? Man, they were bad! We’ll be watching for those video clips.

W87 ° 53.7368′The Fox6 site mentions a logbook each cacher gets. I assume each cache has a unique stamp to prove you were there. Let’s hope it’s nicely done up like the WGA events.
We’re planning on bringing a picnic lunch. We’ve already spent enough just to get in, and who knows if the food vendors are part of the “fundraiser” or not.
Those don’t look too hard. We’re hoping to do all 30, along with the two permanent caches out there.
So nice to see you added the mosquito to scale. 😀
I noticed Target was clearancing out there bug stuff, so we stocked up. I have a feeling we’ll need it badly on Saturday.
Pray for wind.
To any of you going or planning to go, I e-mailed Jim Hyatt to ask about downloading coordinates. The coordinates will have to be entered by hand, but he did e-mail all 30 sets. If anyone is interested in being prepared, PM me and I’ll e-mail them to you.

I guess it’s all about how authentic we want them to look. The decoys I saw actually look like a real wild turkey.
Something like these:
Others types can be considered, but we are looking for something about life size.
Yes, the ones I saw are life-size. They look like those, only flat. They look more realistic than the ones Energysaver suggested.

Is the fee for park entrance, or for “playing along”? Couldn’t we use those free passes we’ve gotten from the Fox 6 geocaches?… ❓
Yes, and yes.
Actually, if you read the fine print on those passes it says that you may not use it for special events, which I would assume this is.

Have you gotten any responses? There is a house that I drive past frequently with a sign out front “Turkey decoys – $5” They are painted wood, not 3-D replicas, but would do nicely if nobody else has decoys to bring.
