I think Jeremy and I were there around 7. Surprised we didn’t see any other cachers although there were a LOT of people. But I enjoyed it… it was a longer hike than I was actually expecting. Thanks for the suggestion!
Those grim reapers sure liked to follow me a lot throughout the hike… I hope that doesn’t mean anything! 😯
As it turns out, I was actually looking at those caches myself for this weekend. And I didn’t even think about the Halloween tie-in, but that definitely makes it more fun…and spooookier! Jeremy and I can join you Friday night at 7. 🙂

oooh, I like that one.
You can have it if you like…I’d even be willing to write up the HTML for you……or do you just want to find it? I’m a bit fried on placing caches of late…
Umm, I better not get in too far over my head with cache placements. And West Bend is a little packed… although I suppose the Kettle Moraine Forest might still have room…
oooh, I like that one.
Here’s my updated booklist so far…
http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?guid=29f62db7-1e3b-4aca-8231-bbbce4b5e470Wow, that would be a tough challenge.
How about an ongoing Consecutive Day Challenge where the FTF only has to have cached for 1 day, the STF 2 consecutive days leading up to the challenge cache, 3rd to find 3 days, etc etc etc. By the time you get up to the 50th or 100th person to find the cache, they would have had to cached A LOT of consecutive days!! Ha. Evil.
But any other existing Wisconsin challenges that I should know about for my Booklist List?
Jeremy and I checked out the Monarch Trail in Milwaukee this past Wednesday. We saw a grand total of 2 Monarch butterfies. Last week’s cooler temps probably made the majority take off for Mexico already, and it was also a little windy on the day we visited which they don’t like. Here’s a picture I took…

Here are the big winners… CC8C4, JimandLinda, TwoWorldly&PharmTeam, and Goofy2

Hello,
According to the log kept by the West Bend Chamber, there were 171 teams and 381 people in attendance on Saturday.
The big cash winners were:
$500: CC8C4 (From Iowa)
$250: JimandLinda
$100: PharmTeam
$100: TwoWorldly
$50: Goofy2The award for the longest distance went to TeamSnook from Florida. But we also had teams visiting from California (not sure why this was not the farthest?), Virginia, New Jersey, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Michigan, as well as cachers who drove quite a distance in Wisconsin to join us.
I will also post this on the cache page. Hopefully, photos will be posted soon too.
It was the big toilet seat. Somebody left it under my tent at the campout.

But the real question on our mind is: Did Pharmgirl manage to pass along her travel bug on Friday night?????
Haha… yes I did!! I felt a little bad because a newbie team got stuck with it (they’ve only been caching 2 weeks). Maybe they managed to pawn it off on somebody Saturday?

Thanks to all who participated and made this such a fun event! I enjoyed meeting all of you. And congrats to all who reached a milestone (hard NOT to!!) [:D]
Congrats!! Wow, getting numbers that high takes major commitment I’d say and a true love for the sport/hobby. I couldn’t ever come close. But what’s really great is that they also give back by placing caches for the rest of us to find as well…265 so far I counted! Thanks for that!
1000, wow. Nice job LDove. Congrats!
I went to Door County last month for a cache run, and I thought the “Door County Challenge” Multi-Cache (GCGE6B) was definitely a challenge, especially if you get to stage 3 and 4!! It’s a great cache because you can choose when to stop if it starts getting too difficult. That would be my suggestion, but all the Door County caches are great! [:)]
