Awesome. Did you notify the clean up crew to try and get the cache back, Brian?
Even though I’m not going, I’m actively following this. Hope you guys have fun.
May I suggest someone bring a muli-tap cigarette lighter outlet such as this one so multiple people in the vehicle can keep their phones charged?

I have one. Very useful for keeping my Nuvi plugged in as well as charging my phone.
All depends what cache description and past logs says as well.
Let’s say the attribute is winter friendly but I find it on the ground – out in the open. That is obviously not winter friendly. Depending on what’s around it, I’ll hide it in a winter friendly spot at the same coords, of course, and send the CO a note.
Neonride, thanks for the laugh. I hope you didn’t get disciplined too much at work. If I did that at my work, I would have got a written warning to go into my personnel file with a second offense being grounds for suspension or termination.

Anytime I take it to some place like McDonald’s, I open my browser to accept the terms and conditions to use the wi-fi. Once that goes through, I’m free to use any other internet apps on my phone such as USA Today, ESPN Sportscenter, etc.
All? This month? Dude, you are gonna be rattled out of your box by the time you are done – lol.
Most of the lonely caches are far away from me. So unless I’m in an area for another reason, I probably won’t get them.
Take it easy on the trails, dude.
Team Deejay,
Fist bump for all you do in the LCG. Thanks 🙂
If you want to stalk someone, just set up a notification of the area that person normally caches in. Of course if that person caches in West Bend, you’ll get spammed with logs from other cachers in West Bend – lol.
But it’s the best you can do if you want to stalk someone.
If you are good with excel spreadsheets, you can design your own log sheets as well.
I’ve been using the Pilotsnipes macro the whole time. I never had a problem.
All I had to do was run the macro. Then run the POI loader manually and presto, the Nuvi is loaded.
Still using the Pilotsnipes macro so as long as it is supported. Have not checked the other Nuvi macros yet.
In Bartrod’s case, he is having issues getting approval to have the cache published. So that’s fine to have that unactivated cache page sitting there saving the spot for him.
But if some seldom seen cacher is going to “save” some hiding spots for months via unactivated cache pages, I call that cyber squatting. Let someone else have the spot if he is not gonna use it, right? I wonder how many other hiders got turned down because a spot was being saved in a certain area but not used.
I think the LCG points will go by the publication date, not the cache page date.
Hopefully you get it all straightened out, Rod.
One issue here is not everyone logs a cache find right away. The cacher may not be able to get to a computer to log the find for one reason or another so it might take a few days for said log to show up.
Perhaps this needs to be renamed “Lonely Cache Hunt”. Take the game aspect out of it.
Otherwise cachers are gonna be p**sing and moaning about this forever. There are always gonna be whiners in this “game”. If it is not one thing, it will be another.
Geocaching is a hobby. It is not a game. The whole point of the LCG is to keep caches not found in a while remain active. So what if some unnamed individual appears to be cheating.
If we had some lonelys in my area that I’ve never found, I’d participate. But for the most part, I have not had an opportunity to get out and find a lonely.
For those of you who quit doing lonelys, that’s a shame. You need to at least find them in your area and make sure those lonelys are still there or log the dnf so the CO knows it was visited.
I was gonna check on one of Bartrod’s lonelys last week and get a few revisit points, but he already performed maintenance on it plus HP2 found it shortly after, so there was no need for me to check on it and get the revisit points. The cache was already verified present.
The point is, it is all about having fun with this hobby. But some people take it so damn seriously.
Lighten up.
