I’m not giving up. Without going into specifics to avoid spoilers, let’s say I have one more puzzle to solve. Every time I put together this puzzle, the answer seems to be the same if you know what I’m saying. But it’s not the correct answer. Still working on it and hope to have it solved before the Wizard’s event coming up soon.
Dorothy is still reluctant to give me her number. But I’m not giving up until I can figure it out. She’s a tough one to crack. Everytime I thought I had her figured out,Β it’s the same thing each time. One of these days, I’ll figure it out. π
I decided to stay home and watch the Brewers vs the Cubs.
I should have gone to visit Dorothy. Brewers are getting their butts kicked.
I may pay Dorothy a visit today. I’m trying to convince her to give me her number, but she’s being reluctant. π
I may have to use my charm to convince her otherwise π
Hmmm. I’ll take the :ftp:
Now doing the Saturday FTP!
Hey Jim, see the article in the Fond Du Lac Reporter regarding the Oakfield incident?
17 days in a row finding at least one cache. No easy feat as I’m not in a cache dense area like say, West Bend.
Still plenty to find in my area yet. I think I still got about 10 left from this khbaker dude in Marinette.
I went to the Timber Rattlers game last night. They lost, but I had fun. It was my first time at Fox Cities Stadium. That’s one ball park off my bucket list.
Found two caches yesterday and two today. Also moved along a TB that needed to go south. I needed an active cache to keep it moving and found one this morning. Geocaching streak now at 16 days in a row.
Currently at the Fox River Mall shopping, then heading home with a planned visit with Dorothy along the way π
Heading there this afternoon for a Timber Rattlers game. Of course I filtered out the puzzles when loading my GPS.
Gonna go to a park or two to cache before the game. There’s a few parks that has multiple traditional caches. I’m not a fan of stop and go Geocaching in my vehicle. I would rather park once, then walk in a park to find a few caches.
Looking at a map of Appleton, I can’t believe how many ?’s there are.
I have a metal ammo box that I’d like to put out. Any tips on spraying the words “GEOCACHE” on it?
Just read up on the Oakfield incident. Tragic. I don’t think it was a geocacher either because if it was, the group could have used a GPS unit to give first responders their exact location. But they didn’t. The first responders had to track them down.
I remember that whole thing in Ashwaubenon, I think that was eight years ago already. It makes me wonder what made someone have the epiphany that the thing in the fence post thatβs been there a year and a half is all of a sudden a bomb.
Part of that was because it was election day. I think Cormier School was a polling place and someone there who went to vote probably was the one that saw me. But I have no verification on that. I’m just glad I got it straightened out with law enforcement .
When the news broke that some suspicious guy put something in a fence post, I knew it was me that they were talking about.
My local PD is well aware what geocaching is because at the time, they had a cache of their own right in front of the cop shop. So I went to them for help. They helped me out and acted as a go between between myself and the Ashwaubenon Public Safety and we got it all taken care of, but it soured me on urban geocaching for a while as I stuck to the woods for the time being.
What is this alphanumeric challenge that you guys speak of and how do I know what I still need to qualify?
Just got done with the series. Found 5, dnf’ed 1, and drove past another as I missed it.Β I went with a game plan – do a quick look see, then get out if I don’t see it. I spotted the cache right away on the 5 that I found and didn’t spot it on the 6th .
I’ll get the drive by and dnf another day. But at least I got it done and over with for the most part.
