Take a look at the Psycho Urban Cache series in the Baltimore area as well. Insane!

If you’re going north up 41/141, try Katies’ Subs in Pound…they are EXCELLENT!
I echo Rod’s sentiment. I am here at Katie’s Subs eating while logging my finds of the new Pound caches. Yum.
I might still go there in mid-week in May. School still in session, not as many people and it should be warmer.
I’ll look at my work schedule and post back.
Even if there is no event, it might still be fun to do.
Just not next weekend if the weather continues to be cool as it has been lately.
*If* my tax refund comes in time, I *may* go.
On that same weekend though I was invited to a muggle friend’s birthday party in Oshkosh.
But in all likelihood, the odds are I won’t be going to either event if I don’t get my refund then.
I might make that a last minute decision………
Had one encounter when I was at Presque Isle Park in Marquette. Walked in on two kids screwing in a hammock. And I’m not talking about putting them in a tree either.
I quietly walked away and they had no idea I was there.
Congratulations but I think this should have gone to the Milestones board 😛
Maybe the Squirrel can move it 🙂
I thought about teaching a class on introducing cachers to GSAK as well as the android app GDAK. Surprisingly a lot of cachers don’t know about GSAK.
The issue is I’m still on GSAK 7. I’ll have to upgrade so I can learn to use 8 before teaching it.
I love my Etrex Venture HC. Usually the coords are spot on and so as long as I have my phone with me for the GDAK app as well as my Nuvi with the cache info on it from the Pilotsnipe macro, i’m good to go.
I don’t think I’ll ever get a high end GPS that has all those bells and whistles. The only thing bad about my current GPS is accuracy in heavy foliage. But I’m happy with it otherwise.
I do. But GSAK on the computer is required for it. Basically one can put his (or her) entire GSAK database on the phone then look up the info on the phone. It can hold up to 32000 caches per database and you can put several databases on the SD card. Took me a day or two to figure it out but now I love it. Like all other apps, GPS navigation is very spotty but I didn’t get it for that. I got it to have cache information on hand to go with my very basic Garmin Etrex Venture HC, which only gives me GC code, cache name and the coordinates.
Thanks. I might do this with a local cacher I know.
Now back to your regular programming 🙂
Speaking of bushwacking to caches without a trail, how tough is your Meadowbrook cache, Gotta Run? That’s on my bucket list for the future when I do an icon run. I already got all the letterbox hybrids at the RF and I think that’s the only letterbox hybrid left in the Green Bay area.
If I’m able to get that one, I’ll be able to get a nice icon run going that day.
That kinda looks like Baird Creek.
I echo the sentiments above. Ignore it.
Like Lost, I’m a paperless cacher as well but I use my Nuvi as well as the GDAK app for my phone (a mobile version of GSAK) to read the cache info and logs. I *think* the atrributes are shown on GDAK but I know they aren’t on the Nuvi.
Like the others above, if I go into the woods and come out with several ticks, that’s on me. I know I’ll get ticks if I go in there so they don’t bother me.
Don’t worry about it, Mongo. Keep putting them out 🙂 I’ll stop in your area sometime to check it out.
I take it the WGA tried to work with the DOT and failed.
Such as Munzees.
