Gonna do the Carney Boulevard series today.
So if anyone happens to hear about a bomb squad heading to Marinette, you know why 🙄
Hopefully I don’t get a busybody calling the cops on me. Not a fan of caches in front of houses, but if they have been found previously with no issues, then I guess I can try it myself .
Then again, that cache in Ashwaubenon had like 90 some finds before the cops were called. So let’s see what happens today 😟
Wish me luck.
Is Ebsch a Menominee last name?
It is and I may have an idea who it is as I’m friends with a few of them. I’ll find out when I see one of them .
I just wonder what the point in doing that is.
I know. It doesn’t make sense.
He better be prepared to manage 92 caches. I had issues taking care of my 8, which is why I archived them though I’m planning a new one soon by my house.
I noticed that too 🤔
Thanks to this new cacher Khbaker placing caches all over town, I’m able to start a cache-a-day streak. So far, I have found at least one cache 10 days in a row. Previously , my best was 4 days in a row for the longest time. Let’s see how long I can keep this up .
No. I found 2 of the 5 scout caches before calling it a day due to heavy skeeters presence and me with no bug dope .Didn’t know the final for the Wherigo caches was in the camp too. That gives me an excuse to go back this fall when the fall colors come out .
Thanks for the heads up .
Heading to the Reforestation Camp near Green Bay for some caching. It will be nice to find some caches that are not a bison tube in a pine tree 🙄 like I’ve been finding back home.
I’ll be there about 10am if anyone wants to join me.
If you recall, Happy Hodag, I was in the middle of a bomb scare several years ago in Ashwaubenon. I found a cache in a fence post by Cormier School. Some busybody called it in as me placing a bomb. The bomb squad came over and destroyed the cache. Both the cache owner and I had to set it straight with Uncle Leo. Since then I try to avoid caches in the view of someone’s house.
I think this new cacher khbaker is placing his caches with a cell phone. So far every one I’ve come across was 30 feet off or more.
Also the placement is not ideal. He has a series along a boulevard – smack dab in the middle of a residential neighborhood . All it takes is one phone call from a nosy neighbor and it’s the bomb scare crap all over again . Why were those caches allowed to be published? 🤔 I didn’t think caches on a boulevard were allowed.
When I hit “view reply” on any thread, it takes me to the first post of that thread, not the last. Is that a bug?
Time for my first FTP in forever 🙂
I think I did over 100 finds before my first hide. And…..
Whoever khbaker14 is, he’s really been going nuts on cache placements in Marinette County lately.
And they aren’t just cheap recycled plastic containers either. What I’ve found are almost all brand new bison tubes. I wonder if the Chamber would be interested in getting a GeoTour going based around the hides he has, they have a bunch of good history with them besides highlighting noteworthy local spots.
But he has only 7 cache finds…some of his coordinates are a good 30+ feet off. I see he had a bunch more published today…may need to take a little trip again soon. I need another half dozen for the next souvenir .
I thought the standard was if someone found 100 caches, they are qualified to place caches of their own. Guess that is not the case anymore.
Some new cacher is putting out a bunch of new caches in my area. I’ve yet to find them. Gonna use them for grid filling.
Heading to Escanaba for a walk on Aronson Island. Beautiful area.
I was at Amnicon Falls State Park Monday. DNF’ed the WGA state park there. Then went to Lake Wisotta yesterday and got the WGA State park cache there.
How is everyone today?
Spending our anniversary week at Star Lake again…storm after storm rolling through the area last night and this evening
When you come back, you will find there are several new caches placed by a new cacher in the area. I have not gone out to find any yet, but I will eventually.
