Obviously he doesn’t care about the containers. I say keep them for yourself if you get them.

I have only one on my ignore list. It’s an event cache that the CO hasn’t ever closed, even though the event is done. ๐ Otherwise it keeps showing up on my unfound list in an area I’ve already cleared out.
Just put in a request for a reviewer to archive it.
Just a few caches on my list that I have DNF’s on.
Two caches come to mind. Not gonna bother with GC Codes at the moment, but the first is “High And Lois Tribute” in Green Bay. Supposed to be like a 1/1 or something like that, but because the Coords are 50 feet off, a lot of DNF’s were racked up on that cache. I probably made 10 visits before finding it myself.
The other is “The Devil Chickened Out in Poland” near Kewaunee. That’s also like a 1/1 too but the hiding spot is tricky. Even Ecorangers walked away without a smiley.
Both are still on my list even though I found them because I get a chuckle anytime a DNF log comes in because I know the frustration that cacher felt ๐
Geocachers who insist on using color codes for every word in the log that shows up in an e-mail notice like this
Log Date: 11/26/2011
<span style="font-size:4][red]xxxxxxxx[/red] [orange]has[/orange] [yellow]xxxxed[/yellow] [green]at[/green] [blue]the[/blue] [purple]cache![/purple] [maroon]TFTCรยกรยก[/maroon] [red]@[/red][green]}->---[/green] [pink]November 26, 2011 2%;"> tried finding the munzee but didn't see it.I would rather see a TFTC over that anytime ๐
My GSAK wish is for a macro to store cache descriptions and past few logs for an android phone for offline viewing similar to the Ipod Notes Macro.
While I do have the C:Geo app for my phone, I need to use the internet to retrieve the cache information and am not always in an area near towers.
I just enter coordinates of solved caches on GSAK.
No matter. Most phones have browsers that can visit full websites anyways such as this one.
I’m not a data freak like some of you. I no longer go on long runs due to high gas prices and other expenses that I have to pay for these days.
My geocaching nowadays is limited to caching when I’m in a particular area for another reason anyways. I even passed up 2 FTF’s last night because both were 10 miles away and I didn’t want to waste 20 miles worth of gas. So I’ll get them the next time I’m in that area for another reason.
With the limited amount of geocaching I do these days, I’ll wait to upgrade to version 8.
Thank you, Deejay, for pointing out the great features of V8. But Those are features I don’t need right now. But glad to know Clyde is still working on GSAK. I thought he was done at 7.7.
I’m just gonna stick with 7. Nothing really in 8 that I need. I just use it to load my GPS, run FindStatsGen, and off I go.
Finally got around to using this app in the field. It did great. Just gotta make sure I used the Imperial Units setting on the app (feet/miles) instead of metric. Found that out when I thought I was close at 94 feet but it was actually 94 meters lol.
Once I figured out how the game worked, it was smooth sailing and I made sure to save my progress each time. Had a great time on my very first Wherigo cache.
If you have an Android phone, it is well worth checking out.

Glad I was with you for a few of those ๐
I’m happy that people find my caches.
Sure I don’t like blank logs, TFTC’s, cookie cutters, etc.
Am I gonna delete them?
No.
Yeah..writing unique logs can be difficult for a numbers run…that’s why I don’t do numbers as much as others do. I’ll take one cache on a 5 mile hike over 10 of them in a 2 mile trail any day.
you’re right, J&L that caches can be archived for any reason.
I pulled almost all of my urban caches last year on the heels of the Ashwaubenon Bomb Scare. And after re-thinking about caching in cemeteries, I pulled my cemetery caches as well.
The rest of my caches either involve a walk/hike in the woods or placed in areas not likely to have many muggles around such as a small boat launch.
Everyone does the game their way. I do mine. But just because I don’t like the “TFTC”‘s on my caches doesn’t mean I’ll archive them. I only archive if it keeps getting muggled or I can’t maintain them.
To each his own.
Archiving caches just because of a few TFTC’s, cut and pastes, etc. is going a bit too far.
Yes, I realize those type of logs can be annoying for a cache I may spend hours and money on placing.
But I’m not about to go into a hissy fit and pull my caches just because I get a few “TFTC’s”. For each one of those I get, I get several more well written logs by finders.
And by archiving caches for a stupid reason like that, you take away the fun from someone else that may want to find it and end up writing a nice log for it.
