I always edit on my computer then upload. I like to have control over how my photos look.

I use Photobucket for my hosting needs for various reasons such a cache page, ebay auctions, etc. If I have photos for viewing, then they go to my facebook page.

I also want to put a nice shout out to -Rusty-, my local reviewer on the Michigan side of the WI-MI border. He’s fast to review, always willing to answer my questions, and does a good job overall. Though I know he won’t see this shoutout on the WGA board – lol

Also, thanks Wiskid and Bec for your hard work too. I only have one cache on the WI side of the border and that was published quickly as well.

WisKid also took care of a problem cache that I submitted to him very quickly too.

I have 8 active caches. Planning 3-4 more. All are local. I thought about placing some caches an hour north of me in Escanaba, MI as it is sparse with caches since Team B-Squared pulled all his caches when he moved downstate, but I don’t think I can make the drive each time a cache needs maintenance. So keeping my caches local for now. Furthest one is about 15 miles away. Closest at a park just a quarter mile from my house.

Ok… If someone leaves a blank log like that, and you delete it, isn’t that like a tree falling in the woods with noone around to hear it?

I actually had a blank log on one of my catches. But I think he edited it later to include content. It just simply came in blank initially on my email.

I use Opera Mobile as my android web browser. Downloads should fine for downloads in the field using Opera. Opera Mobile is also available in the android market. Not all phones support Firefox mobile. My LG Optimus doesn’t but that’s ok as I’m more familiar with Opera as I’ve used variants of the browser for years from Opera Mini on my old flip phone to Opera mobile on my pocket PC to Opera Mobile on my non-android touch phone.

At home, I would download the cartridge as a pc file to my SD card on my computer, put the SD card in the phone and I’m good to go.

Tried an “anywhere” cartridge that didn’t require a cache and it seemed to be fine.

As for the issues of short battery life caused by the use of the built-in GPS, I have that taken care of. My android phone uses the same battery as my old non-android phone so all I have to do is charge my non-android phone in the car as I use the Android phone. So if the battery gets low as I complete a cartridge in the field, it is just a matter of swapping out batteries.

Agree with Smashing Ground here. I’ll just stick with texting people I already have met. As for my own hides, they are all pretty straightforward finds. I don’t get DNF’s on them unless they go missing so I don’t worry about anyone trying to get a hold of me on my own caches.

Pasadena? Hell, I want the Badgers to go to New Orleans for the National Championship lol!!

But I’ll take the Rose Bowl consolation prize if they don’t get the #1 or #2 seeding in the BCS.

    And congrats, Brian.

Nothing we can do about that, Bartod. It’s a great series. For every TFTC you get on that series, you gonna get dozens more well written logs such as Prestontucker and Babokooks.

    I liked “It’s not cowardly. It’s cute.”
