Nah. Not if you have a caching partner with a cell phone – like me. 😛
Nice job, Sandlanders.
Hope to see you on the trails someday.

Congratulations….one third of your finds puzzles, that’s impressive.
Very impressive, considering out of my 401 finds, I have found just 14 puzzle caches. As you can see, puzzles are not my thing.
Way to go, CJ.
I have a Pentax K100D SLR digital camera with a 28-80mm lenses (I think) and also have a 70-200mm lenses from my old Pentax SLR film camera that I bought way back in 1990 or so. That was one of the reason I got the Pentax K100D – the backwards compatibility with the lenses from the old SLR film camera. Worked good for me.
Someday I need to do a photo journal of my own, Most of my geocaching pictures are on my facebook profile. I’ll copy those someday onto here. Eventually, I’ll ask an admin to set me up a folder.
I found one of those type of containers under a large boulder where it was protected from the elements, keeping it dry. If you find such a spot, you still may be able to use it.
Just read this thread for the first time.
Marc, I’m disappointed in you. The other thread was closed for a reason so you had to stir things up in a new thread. C’mon, you are better than that.
Helidood is new to caching in general. I think he got it when he requested the thread to be closed…but no, you had to be beating a dead horse.
Dude,
Just be patient.
I’ve had caches not get found for over a week. There’s one of mine (GC1YZGG) that was not found for three weeks after placement, I think and still has that one find on it since placement and that was in the fall.
In the winter, geocaching activity is way down, even for winter friendly caches. So what if no one finds it right away. Eventually they will.
Too bad the UP of Michigan is not part of the LCG. There are several lonelies in my neck of the woods. This fall, I found two that has not been found in over a year and several others not found for months.
The UP is so rural that there’s an abundance of lonely caches out there.
Team B Squared can attest to that as many of them are theirs.
GC Number?
Edit: N/m. Found it in Labrat’s profile.
If the unit has an SD card slot, you can put one POI file on each SD card and just swap out SD cards as needed. I’ve done it on mine.
I reflected on 2009 a few days ago on my blog.
One’s gotta learn to use common sense when using a GPS. Sure my Nuvi has given me bad directions on more than one occasion, but that’s why I have the old fashioned paper map as a back up if it doesn’t feel right where I’m going.
I just can imagine the owner’s log e-mails that come in with that many hides. Wow.
I can’t imagine anyone with that many hides. That has to be a lot of work and maintenance.
I don’t know this person, but way to go.
