Looks like I’ll go with Mathman on this one.

Rodgers 32 TD’s, 14 INT, 4100 yards. INT will seem high, but he will have plenty of games where he throws none and a couple bad games where he might throw 3. The rest maybe 1 or 2. He’s not a risk taker and does have a tendency to hold the ball too long, resulting in a bit more sacks. Some INT’s will not be his fault such as a ball going through a receiver’s hand.

Jennings and Driver both should get 1000 yards receiving. But I think Jennings will have more yards due to his deep threat skills while Driver will be the possession receiver and get more catches than Jennings. Throw it to him to the slant and he’ll take a licking and still hold onto the ball and get up.

Jury’s out on Grant for me. I think he surprised teams after he got traded from the Giants that year. Last year, he was hampered by the training camp holdout followed by injuries. He never really got going. This year, I’m thinking he will be a 3 yards and a cloud of dust type of back who breaks the occasional long gain. Try about 1050-1100 yards for him with Brandon Jackson getting plenty of yards as the 3rd down back – maybe 500 yards.

Techie here. Never was much of an outdoors person until I discovered geocaching. Now I love being in the outdoors as geocaching takes me places that I would otherwise never go to.

Hmm…time to add “geocaching” to Firefox’s dictionary. According to Firefox, geocaching and geocache are not words. LOL.

    There. Done.

866,963 caches as of this post. About 3 thousand more since the opening post of this thread. Assuming it keeps this pace, I would estimate the 1,000,000th cache in about 177 days.

Makes sense, Rat. Maybe I’ll go the refurbished route after all. Now it’s just a matter of deciding on the merchant and the device as well as making sure said device is compatible with GSAK.

    Thanks for your wise input.

    They got it

Way to go, Trekkin and Birdin. Looks like you picked a doozy for your 5000th!

BJ Raji is still unsigned as of this post. Every day he holds out, he falls further behind on the 3-4 scheme. But the holdout is not entirely his fault. I believe the players drafted ahead of him and behind him are also unsigned, so it’s just a matter of waiting for Raji to figure out his fair market value. But the deal better get done soon. Otherwise, the season will be a wash for him before it even gets started.

The battle to win the punting job is not much of a battle since both punters are mediocre at best in the forms of Jeremy Kapinos and Durant Brooks. Why did the Packers give Jon Ryan the boot last year, I’ll never understand. They always seem to have the habit of letting go some good punters (remember Craig Hentrich?). Let’s hope another team has two great punters in camp and have to release one so the Packers can get him, but not likely. Whoever wins the punting job will still not be all that good. Let’s hope the Green Bay defense holds up in bad field position due to poor punting.

Nick Barnett starts off camp on the PUP list, but once off the list, He should be back with the first team. Let’s hope he plays well and be a force on the linebacker corps.

Who will be the #2 QB for the Packers? Neither Flynn or Brohm showed they could do it last year when Rodgers got hurt. Now that both Flynn and Brohm have a year experience, hopefully one of them can step up and show that he’s more than capable for filling in for an injured Rodgers, who is not exactly the iron man that Brett Favre was, though Rodgers did show he can play through injury last year.

Who says we have to be limited to smileys only from this board? Plenty of them out there if you know where to look. I took that one from another board that I used to frequent during bowling season.

in reply to: Lil’ Presque Isle –Marquette Michigan area #1894985

I didn’t go to Marquette. Bartrod thought it’d be a great fay for caching at Potato Lake and the surrounding area that day and I agreed, so I went with him. He helped set me up for my milestone with 14 finds that day, which got me to 199. I then waited an anxious 5 days for the milestone as new caches were popping up in my area and I could not get the FTF because I had to save my next find for the milestone.

It was worth the wait and I already nominated Pike Powder Hike for COTM. I’m shocked that cache never made COTM. But I’ll try and be at the PIPE event – my weekend off.

in reply to: 2 Events coming up in the Central UP/NE Wisconsin #1911717

    Hm…

I think I can make the PIPE event. It’s my weekend off. With other cachers there, this could be my opportunity to hit the PI cache that I talked about in the other thread.

I might be able to make the one in Crivitz – if I can talk my boss into letting me work an earlier shift so I can make the half hour drive to say hello and maybe see any stragglers at the event.

in reply to: Todd300 hikes to #200 #1911532

Unless I missed it on the COTM page, I was shocked that Pike Powder Hike has never made COTM.

I thought it was worthy of the honor, so I nominated it for COTM. IT was a great hike for a great cache. It exemplified what geocaching was about.

I’m sure those of you who’ve done it can agree with me.

I’m still shocked that it never made COTM in its long existence.

When I went to Green Bay last month, I ran 3 PQ’s for the Green Bay area.

1 PQ for traditionals only, 1 for multi’s and 1 for puzzles/unknowns. Yes, I know there are a few other icons such as your Letterbox hybrids, GR, but I’ll get to those eventually.

Anyways, running PQ’s for each type of cache seems to work with me in an area like Green Bay that is not as dense with caches as, say, West Bend, who claims to have 500 caches in a 7 mile radius.

I’ve seen in the ground speak forums that cachers would run PQ’s according to placed dates. I have not done that yet as I have no reason to, but I know I eventually will when I go to a dense cache area.

That’s why I like caching in the northwoods and the UP. I could run a PQ of a large radius and still be under 500 caches.

Good luck with your work, GR.

in reply to: 1,000,000th hide #1911653

Tough to tell when there will be 1 mill. As fast as caches get published daily, there are several being archived.

    We’ll see what happens.

in reply to: Sweetlife Burns Rubber Racing to 3,500 #1911645

Way to go, Sweetlife. I figure you were getting close to 3500 when you popped into my 40 mile radius notification and got that FTF at Klondike.

    Nice job.
