No problem, Zoesbro.
I’m leaving for GB now. Have fun 🙂
Ha, ha, B2. I’ll keep you in mind as I’ve seen you have put out several puzzle caches. I think I have not done any yet, but I’m planning to go to Esky someday to do a few of them.
Hope to run into you on the trails someday.
All depends on the cache itself. If it’s like a 1/1 P & G, I don’t bother. Most of them say something like “Bison tube. BYOP” anyways.
But I agree with the guy with green thumbs 😛 that I also read a WSQ page with historical information or Bartrod’s caches which also contains historical information for example.
So yes, for the most part, I read the info. Easy to do when I have a PPC loaded with 1200 caches on it. So I’m paperless for the most part. I only print out puzzles.
I still plan in going to GB in the morning. I’ll do some tweets of my progress on Twitter though I’m not logging caches from my phone. I’ll do logs when I get home. The tweets are just to give my current location and whether I’m going after #200 in Green Bay or wait until this Saturday for #200. I’m still debating on either one.
Way to go, Team HoneyBunnies.

A major factor is publishing a puzzle is what D/ rating to give it.
Always difficult to tell how soon, or if, the puzzle will be solved.
I published one some years ago where I put the D at 3.5 – and I got a found log before I even knew it had been published! So, there is no telling.
I’m sure you could find volunteers on this site. Just ask. Perhaps someone not close to your home coordinates, so there is no question of them getting FTF on a harder puzzle, etc.
Hmmm? That might be me!
You may not be close to me, Marc, but you WERE close to me over the weekend when you found MCC03 ( GC1EJWQ ) . I live only a .3 of a mile from that cache. Wish I knew you guys were in town so I would have said hello.
Seems to be fine now. Probably a burp.
Rather than start a new “I’m going to Green Bay” thread, I decided to “hijack” this one – lol
Anyways, I’m going to Green Bay on Tuesday the 14th for a numbers run to help set me up for my 200th find next weekend. I currently have 171 and will have about 5-6 more after tomorrow when I do a Menominee river run.
So I figure 20 caches in Green Bay will be enough to set me up. Anyone want to go on a few with me or just want to meet up to say hello, let me know. You can find me on Twitter under this same name. I’ll be tweeting my current location when I get down there.
I’m curious…how long do a set of fully charged batteries last on a typical GPS?
Right now, I’m using my Pocket PC with a bluetooth GPS. The pocket PC itself does not last very long, so it’s impractical for me to use on super long hikes unless I turn it off for a while if I know where I’m going. I had to do that yesterday on a long hike.
Whenever I go from cache to cache, it’s always plugged into my car charger and it’s a great charger too as the PPC is fully charged in like 15 minutes, which is also my typical driving time between caches. The bluetooth GPS receiver lasts me several hours and I only charge it in my car if I’m on a super long caching run. I’m debating getting a longer lasting battery for my PPC, but it’s outdated that I doubt batteries are available for it anymore. It’s a Dell Axim X30.
If anyone knows of long lasting batteries for a Dell Axim X30, let me know. I would appreciate it.
Next year, though, I plan on getting a real GPS so that I can go bike caching and long hikes..
Thanks to those that answer.
A bit slow on GC.COM, yeah, but no biggie. I really don’t need to go on it as I have no caching runs planned until Tuesday though I didn’t get my daily local PQ today.
Thanks, TBC. When you complete the county name on the bookmarks, I’ll make a PQ from it.
Much appreciated from your hard work.
Hm..I’m not sure 😛

Hey? Where’s the thanks to me for giving Team Black Cat the inspiration for making that list? 😛
All kidding aside, much thanks to TBC for making that list. I should be able to get Oconto and Brown County this week and we’ll see what happens for the other 69 counties that I have to get yet 😉
Way to Go Todd300!
LOL. Thanks, Mathman.
Not to change the subject, but when are you coming to Marinette and Menominee to do the mission Impossible series? I’ve seen you post a couple notes in the final of that series.

I saw the vid.
Unrealistic.
Looks like it was staged. The reporter probably knew where it was already as she just walked up right to it.
I’d like to see a REAL news vid where a reporter is actually looking for the cache with a REAL GPSr. Or at least, follow an actual cacher.
Unless she’s got letterboxing confused with geocaching.
