Finished the final Harry Potter book last night. I’m not going to give any spoilers to anyone who hasn’t read it yet, but I am going to say I did tear up once or twice through the book….go ahead, say it. I’m a wuss…

Oh well. Too bad this is the last one….it was excellent.

I’m still waiting on David Gerrold to get his next War against the Chtorr book out…the last one he wrote was in the early 90’s when I was in the army…sends out 4 books, then leaves his readers hanging…then says there’s at least two more in the series…ARRRRRRGH!!!!!

ehehehhe….it didn’t matter in my case of PI….it was right alongside the road and the county crews had come through to mow the ditches…there was no way I would have known without catching it….

    and guess what… 😯

It’s cleared up for the most part, and it isn’t driving me nuts anymore…although the shot the nurse gave me could’ve been a bit stronger.

Long pants for me from now on…no matter how hot it is!

Ya, Stubhub is a last resort….I can see paying extra for tickets, but they’re ridiculous on thier prices…I know there’s alot of people who have season tickets where I work, I’ll have to put an ad in the Kohler Shopper soon…

I’m not at all surprised after last season. Michigan tickets are always big money… That’s why I have to rely on ebay and and word of mouth….plus watch the classifieds closely.

    GO BUCKY!

Ya, it’s not real kid friendly…it’s not bad, but I had parked by the shooting range and cut through the woods and a couple fields….If I had driven a bit farther I’d have found the actual parking area they spoke of…anyhow, I found the cellar, not the cache….I forgot to soak up some deet before going in and the skeeters and deer flies were feasting on me….it’s really a pretty cool place to check out.

It takes a few days for a full breakout….I got this last Tuesday while looking for one of Marc’s cemetary caches…started breaking out a couple days later and was full blown by the weekend. I had found a wasp nest while looking for the cache and ran like a madman getting away…during my antics I took a digger in the weeds along the side of the road…I think I’d of rather gotten stung a couple times than deal with this.

I just went to the doctor yesterday for a nasty case of poison ivy….there’s some on my other leg and arms, but nothing compared to my left leg…I ended up getting a shot, put on pills, and a topical cream to help with the itching. They said you’ll notice a difference within 24 hours after the shot….it is starting to look better, still itches like mad though.

Live and learn. Unfortunately, I learn the hard way sometimes! 😯

hmmmm…we may have to check out White Mound for some camping next year….sounds like a nice place. GOJeepers, We were at Yellowstone last year for camping and your exactly right, skeeters are nearly impossible to find…not that I look for them… 😀 There was a cache we did that involved an old sandstone root cellar….quite the find in the middle of the woods….you’d never know it was there otherwise…not sure if that one is still active or not…a while back I think the owner was looking for someone to adopt it.

Marc, I have to say, I love doing your cemetary caches….but the one I emailed you about last week that involved the wasps? It also involved some poison ivy…. 😯

Hopefully I can get the kids out to help me over the next couple days on some more cemetary caches!

You can please some of the people all of the time and you can please all of the people some of the time….

    BUT….

You can’t please ALL of the people ALL of time. Totally impossible.

Let them cry over spilled milk…. 😀

eheheheh…I remember the old OD green mopp suits we had in basic and AIT…..they sucked…then when we went to Saudi, we had the new camo mopp suits…those were nice….the only thing that sucked was the charcoal dust….once they were washed a few times, they were nice to wear out in the field when we were training…I wish I had a set of those still…ya, it’s been 13 years for me since I got out…

in reply to: Cave In Maribel?? #1768386

We’ve camped by there a couple times at Devil’s River CG. Nice place to go….the last I heard, the caves were more like small holes in the bluffs along the river….that’d pretty cool if they keep excavating them….I’ve never been to the Ledgeview caves, even though I’m less than 5 miles away…they give tours there sometimes on the weekends, plan on getting dirty if you go. When my kids get old enough we’ll go through the caverns there. Nothing like exploring underground….There’s always Blue Mounds….we hit a bunch of caves and old gold mines in South Dakota while camping this last summer…
