We just returned to Wisconsin after six weeks on the Gulf coast. Did y’all order this cold weather to get even?????
Oh, that’s a shame, for sure. Cycle of life and all that, but still……Sorry to hear that.
We squeaked by and now that’s enough streaking for us. We ran into snags……lost time on the phone with government agencies and then heavy rain in Decorah. We drove about an hour one way to get something in Minnesota. What a goofy hobby!
One…..more….day! Tomorrow we’ll head to Decorah (90 minutes from home) to pick up a few and maybe stop in at Pulpit Rock Brewery. We don’t have a lot left in Decorah, but enough to make it worth the trip, along with other enticements there. These days, Eau Claire or Rochester are about our closest (each 90 minutes from home) to make it worth going for a day of caching.
We do have a trip to Rockford planned to go to a theater production and cache, so we’ll likely hit 11 days running. That will be it as far as a streak goes for us.
Hi, I haven’t stopped in for a long time. We’ve been on the road a lot, too. I saw where Hotdogs has a cache in the Santa Fe National Forest. Too bad I didn’t see that sooner…..we were in that area last month. Then we could have claimed Hotdogs caches in Wisconsin, Arkansas AND New Mexico. Ah well. I’d like to go back sometime, so now I know!
Hear, hear! Without these folks, we wouldn’t have events and many other resources.
Anyone here sew? If so, maybe you can relate…….I started a project today that uses a pattern with 985 pieces (exaggeration) on three tissue sheets. I looked to see which pieces I actually need, cut them out of the tissue, carefully folded all that tissue back up and slid it back into the envelope and realized…I missed one piece. Ack! So I walked away from the project and now here I sit wasting time. 😉
If you’ve done any of reloader54494’s caches around the Marshfield area, (bullet series, military aircraft series), Kevin passed away on Tuesday, 1/25.
I haven’t been checking in here lately. I am so very sorry to hear this. Trekkin’ met him at an event.
I made fudge last night. It is still untouched. Is fudge considered good breakfast food? 😉
Good afternoon! We are completely pokey regarding Christmas decorating. Just a couple things up, no tree yet, nothing outdoors. I talked to Pat/sandlanders the other day and she’s got everything up already, which wasn’t always typical for her.
So, I’m sitting home with the old dog while Trekkin’ and zuma! are out on a toot for a few days. The phone rings yesterday and it’s my brother. He and my sister-in-law are up on the Iron Range with their grandson, who’s about 8 or 9, and they’re geocaching. Frank had all kinds of questions for me, and my answers were at first being relayed second hand by my brother, until he decided to put things on speaker phone to simplify matters. I said…”Oh, then I better not use that sh** word I just used about power trails.” Frank hears that and says….”The s-word? I’ve already heard that about 15 times from Mumi and Opa today!”
We have some haze again down in Coulee country. At least the breeze is helping keep the bugs down so I can do some much overdue garden work.
I bought another dulcimer the other day. Can’t wait for it to get here. Some of the wood was reclaimed redwood from a structure at a state park in West Virginia.
I saw that, Debby. Hardly any real cachers come here anymore, how do *these* people find us?
Monday the dulcimer group is performing for Make Music Day, La Crosse. Hot tip. If you come to hear us from 10:30-12:00 by the Pump House, three of the five stages of our heron AL are located there. 😉
Birdin’, how’s the broken wing? Thumbs up? 👍
Thanks for asking. I have been going to yoga practice at the studio with no more modification than I ever would make, I knitted a whole sweater for my grand-daughter’s birthday and don’t usually notice any twinges anymore.
With the rainy weather the past couple days, I am getting more weird sensations…..but things still function just fine! I can manage my binoculars just fine, which is great!
