Trekkin’ is creeping ever closer to buying another banjo…this time a cello banjo. He wants it strung differently than the way it comes. Honestly, for 27 bucks for the set of strings he wants, he should just hit “buy” and move along, but that is not his nature.
Except it’s 13 below Fahrenheit!
Oh, those are cute photos! I’ll bet scaffdogs had their work cut out for them pulling her away from all that fun and didn’t want to risk a repeat performance down the trail!
An awful lot of people just don’t bother with multis. If you look at favorite points, multis seem to get a greater percentage of them, too.
Thank you beccaday! We “needed” four caches not real far from home for this Wednesday. This morning we see your two new ones on the Buffalo River trail…..we can enjoy those, get two of zuma’s “exit” caches along 94 and we’re good to go. We have not found caches on the Beef Trail since we first started caching, so thanks for placing yours!
Just got back from spending the first part of the day playing in the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. We found a whole valley of ice caves and got ourselves a good workout at the same time. Looks like the Packers have kind of, sort of managed without us so far.
Professor of what? Charlie Daniels’ mom, that is?
I was supposed to see him, Marshall Tucker, Nitty Gritty Dirt band, I think, when I was in grad school at UWSP. Summer music festival which got cancelled for some reason. That would have been around 79.
and…I think hell hath frozen over. Trekkin had a great time at KVR today and suggested we skip the Packer game and go there again tomorrow to explore some more of the ice caves. :O
Yoga was great, Trekkin’ was leaving for the Winter Fest at the KVR as I was getting home. Now I’m heading back out to see about a cool bird in Ettrick. Back in time for my second session of yoga assisting. That’s my day today!
Have fun hiding your caches, Becca. We look forward to seeing what you’ve discovered up that way!
Man, you ‘d think I was going birding, I’m up so early. Trying the early bird yoga practice…if I can stay awake.
No, just local caches that are not within our scope to claim. That cures you of the map clearing thing. We’ve enjoyed the Sp caches…that’s the kind of caching we enjoy anyway.
Wonder if the eagle thought something on the playground was a prey animal? I think Mrs. Timberline Echoes witnessed an eagle pick up a soccer ball and then it got stuck on its talons for a bit. Our Cooper’s Hawk was chased out of its hiding spot in the trees when one of the dogs went out this morning.
It’s always fun to have things to look forward to in the coming months. We’ve already got tickets to see Charlie Daniels with friends next summer. I’ve been looking for a dulcimer workshop within reasonable distance in a non-winter season and found one the end of May in this cool little town.
No geocaches in the area, so no distractions of that nature. Reasonable cost for the workshop, held in an actual dulcimer shop! I emailed the organizer and asked to be put on the update list for registration. Yippee!
Ha ha Becca. we developed self control when some caches started showing up that we just won’t ever get, anyway. Amazing how a thing like that can shift a person’s focus!
We were going to do the same, hack. That biome badge is just too fun. We have eight more parks to visit and find the cache yet. We’re hoping to visit several of them with another getaway trip yet this spring (while rates at bed and breakfasts are still low!) Maybe after we make that trip. We’ll see.
