So…..a post on the book of faces got us thinking. Hosting a cribbage tourney meet and greet might be fun. Those who want to do the tourney can, the rest can boo and cheer and visit. Biggest thing would be finding the right venue to sit and do that for a longer period of time. Thoughts?

I talked to Mrs. S yesterday. The drum repair people are supposed to come today and take care of the problem. She’s been baking, wrapping presents and of course, went to that event on Saturday.

Another Christmas Bird Count in the books (except for the potluck tonight). We’d probably get more birds on the count if this interminable haze would ever lift, but we still had fun!
Oh my poor knees! We decided to head to Oxbow Park west of Rochester today. We’ve cached there before, but stuff got archived and new stuff put in, so….
That place is serious hill work and Trekkin’ was asked…nicely…. to stay on the trails this time, even if it takes longer to get there. Did…not…happen. My knees are in tough shape tonight. Usually I wake up the next day and I’m fine. Hope that’s the case….Christmas Bird Count is tomorrow!
I had that issue earlier, but I couldn’t even get in the back door.

The sun made its first appearance in 11 days and stayed around all of 5 minutes.
I don’t experience SAD, but this is getting to me.
Guess we’ll have to go find ’em all again! Wouldn’t be a bad thing…..those are our kind of caches and places, anyway. 🙄
Another not important, but thought I would mention…..
In the State Park leaderboard, is the idea that one can click on someone’s name on that list to see which parks they’ve found? Cause if it is, I’m getting taken to the “users online” information instead when I do that.

I am feeling smug. Except for some article of clothing for our grand daughter, that shopping is DONE! I will not be able to deliver on the “Frozen” dress before Christmas, as the fabric store didn’t carry that doll pattern, BUT I was able to buy one much cheaper on eBay.
My favorite purchase? Poohs Pal is getting a couple K Nex sets….”Plants v Zombies,” Rube Goldberg type constructions. I also found a hilarious kids picture book for him….”Zombie in Love.” No princess junk for the granddaughter. Kind of. She’s getting a friend for her fake American Girl doll that looks Elsa-ish. I tried to find a copy of the Paper Bag Princess for her book, but settled on a cute one called “Telephone.” Birds playing the game on a telephone wire.
Miracles do happen…we finally found that stupid front door French horn this morning.
In a box labeled “Dad’s homemade Christmas decorations”…. of which none were in that box.
Why can’t my son answer calls or texts this morning?????????
