Believe it or not….we went caching today. Boy, we need to brush up on our winter caching needs. Forgot the yaktrax, forgot the persuader…but we managed!
Ooh, I’d be happy to have that mustard. You can have the cheesy French horn if it ever shows up.
So who has some idea where we stored my one outside Xmas decoration? Cannot find it. Looked where Trekkin’ said to look. Not there.
I know a lot of our time in November involved cache maintenance, too. I have not made any conscious effort at weight loss in years and years and years. Yet….my increased yoga practice over the past several months seems to have had an effect. The philosophy is that whatever you need will happen if you commit to it. Good for you! It’s always tougher to take it off when we get older.
And RJ…considering you’re deployed….that’s awesome! Thank you for your service.
Okay, I just counted them up…..42 plus our event in November. Keeping in mind that a couple years ago, that would have been a count for us for a single day of caching and we’re way, way down. And two of our trips to cache were an excuse to visit nearby wineries! We just have a tougher time justifying constant travel to allow us to go caching these days, which is what is what’s needed in our case.
I don’t know how many we found last month, but it’s not a number like we’ve found in years past. Our interest in going out caching has waned some. We still get out to get our exercise, but it might be while birding, walking the dogs, now skiing or snowshoeing, or heaven forbid….just going for a hike. There are only 37 unfound caches within 50 miles of our house. Three we own. Four are challenges we aren’t interested in pursuing. Quite a few we have no interest in seeking….high visibility areas.
Glad we have many other interests to keep us entertained!
I care about ftp about as much as I care about dental drills.
I want to go birding today, but can’t decide where.
Isn’t homeownership wonderful sometimes?
I was a downhill skiier in college until I bought my first pair of xc skis. I am always happy when I’m on my skinny skis. Last time I was downhill was at Rib Mountain when I took some of the kids from the group home where I worked in Point up for the day.
Did you know that leather straps on snow boot skis break after sitting in the garage for about 20 years? Poohs Pal was bummed. So was I. I don’t know where all the various sizes of real ski boots have been stowed.
I’m with Todd on the Black Friday insanity. Actually, I’m not much for shopping any day, unless it involves books, fabrics/yarns or shoes.
A day and a half of cooking….a couple hours with both sons, their girlfriends and their kids gathered round the table….so much to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Great news on the hip. Yeah!
Has anyone ever worked out a flow chart for preparing the entire TG meal? Cause even though I’ve done this for years, it’s a challenge to get it all on the table at the appointed time
