Looks like we’ll be having whatever’s on the table at my in-laws. At the moment, SuperBowl stuff is not a big priority in our lives, although I’m sure the commercials will provide some much needed laughs.
+1! 😀 😀 😀
Pat, your sidebar says you’ve got over 16,000 posts. I know the drivel was flying fast and furiously, biut not THAT fast!
I think there’s some kind of app that lets a person dowload kindle books on iPad. Isn’t there a time limit once downloaded, though? Like, ” this book will self destruct in 30 days” or something like that?
We had given this one some thought, but sadly will be attending the funeral for a friend tomorrow. We might allow ourselves a little River Road caching after that. Have fun, everyone!
01/24/2013 at 3:41 pm in reply to: Big Kitty Sighting near Chippewa Flowage. (Sawyer County) #1967735What series of caches? Can’t decide if we want to avoid it, or go with my camera!
We already have some….the upside of this nasty weather is…once it warms up a bit, ice walking should be a no fear activity!
Renee wants parameters, which, having served on the board with her, is a great example of one of her skills! 😉
Okay….tell me more about the region you’d like to explore. I won’t throw any pies at you, either!
I’m not the expert here, but I have been working on logging finds we made yesterday in the Twin Cities after a visit with my parents. I’ve actually logged
9 African Safari letterbox hybrids, but only 6 got picked up from the log harvester. I think it’s kind of hit or miss with what it will gather and maybe your stuff just got in the “miss” pile? You’re right, Jim. I don’t know why we haven’t been up there yet, I’ve been really interested in the Smoky Hill one up there, too.
Tom, We’re all for anything that is closer to Hurley. There are only about 5-6 within 30 miles we haven’t found yet, at least the last time either of us looked.
It does seem like “long hike” has really been truncated in recent years, or if a long hike is desired, you find something like the group of caches on the Chippewa IAT. We look forward to visiting all of these suggestions as time allows, though. Thanks everyone!
Congratulations Pete, but the ladies didn’t have to put up with just his singing….we all chimed in!
Zero
As for interventions….we’ve found that wine tastings, art tours, music performance and practicing our own instruments have worked well to distract us from “all geocaching, all the time.”
Birding works for me, too, not so much for the other half of our team.
Dick’s sister was in the news for returning stuff to Target in the Green Bay area. She did not choose wisely for her adult children, apparently.
Wouldn’t be caught dead in stores tomorrow myself…..nothing to return, we’re giving ourselves a couple nights getaway at a bed and breakfast in Door County starting tomorrow!
So I might be theater tickets for Thursday night. 😀
