Brand fresh batteries. Seriously, this silly game has been getting on my nerves and perhaps this is just a sign!
And I just re-installed the latest version of the communicator plug in and that is of no help.
It’s not that. The nuvi is doing the same thing. I was able to get the stuff into the Map60CSx. I get a message that USB device is not recognized. So it might be related to something with the communication between the device and the computer, though what has changed in 30 minutes since I loaded up the other, I can’t imagine.
Some times, I really hate this game. I might just go to full time letterboxing, LOL No technology there.
Only if you don’t have NFL Network on your tv. That’s what radio is for, LOL
When we started, the home page had a rotating photo gallery at the top. I miss that. It was fun to click on the pictures and see more about caches all over the place and one of mine taken on the Chippewa River Trail even made the cut for a time. I didn’t realize it was my own photo until I clicked on it, thinking to myself, “We saw something like that once, too.”
There are several caches in that same forest and it’s really one of those hidden gems. We already did a couple exchanges with folks (Pooh’s Pal did a swap riding on Bampa’s shoulders), but it’s a lovely destination. Not a power destination, but one of our favorite spots in the whole Coulee Region.
What is ironic about the Dartmoor cache is the fact that I’m fairly certain we passed very close to it in 1980….hiking the moors on our honeymoon!
Fun virtual with other stuff nearby to enjoy….a great way to get a 😀 and a milestone, too! Congratulations!
Congratulations, and that is one determined attempt to get to a cache! Maybe one of these times the neighbors will go along to see what this is all about!
Congratulations and it’s been great seeing your caching name show up in the recent finds lately. Keep going strong!
This cache was one of the ten we included in our (now archived) “How Hungry Are You” challenge. The Reserve is a beautiful location to hike as it is, and HOT TROT did a great job of highlighting its diversity, taking you on a nice long hike and leaving an ammo can at the end. One of the main reasons we finally archived our challenge was the fact that this cache and some others were starting to have problems for the owners to maintain. At least two others on the list were having similar issues. (Ammo cans disappearing, in fact). We felt that “honoring” those caches by including them in a silly challenge just created a maintenance issue for those cache owners. Retirement also figured into our decision, since the challenge finishers were getting dinner for two on us. We mourn its passing.
One of our rural ones went for a walk a couple years back, too.
The closest I could get to our first found cache date of 6/24/06 was July 1. Here’s what it says:
There are 281971 active caches in 222 countries.
In the last 7 days, there have been 180010 new logs written by 30745 account holders.Congratulations to you on both milestones!
I haven’t upgraded to v. 8 so far, but have been using it for years now. During this time, I’ve had computers die and needed to re-install it to the new one. It does so seamlessly. I’ve only ever had one macro I used not make it through the transitions and that one is no big deal. Installing them is simple and they work right out of the gates. I know there are many other things I can be doing with it, and keep discovering another cool thing as time goes along.
It’s wonderful for planning our caching. I would not hesitate to try it out. I think the only downside, and correct me if this is no longer true, is that the Apple users aren’t supported by the program.
I am, unlike CJ, an absolute non-tech person in all respects. I see the computer as a necessary evil for modern life and don’t have my own cell phone. Tech-hater, as it were. So if *I* can figure this out, anyone can!
I second what Tom said. We haven’t submitted one for a couple years now ourselves. Sorry to hear this.
