Congratulations you two….no race to the finish this time????
Congratulations on finally bagging that big buck…or big number…or…whatever! 😉
Thanks to Barry for the organized look into the Board business for that day. I know a little about getting those minutes cleaned up and ready for members perusal.
And thank you to all serving on the new Board. It is a bigger commitment of time than many realize looking from the outside in.
I’ve been watching the incoming logs for this news. Congratulations on an amazing accomplishment in a place with NO snow!
Ralph, Give up Cuban cigars and you’ll be just fine! LOL In fact, if you give up the whole sport like Trekkin’ has just decided, all problems have evaporated.
We tried to find that same cache about two months ago. It was so nasty cold that even law enforcement was staying inside.

You mean that you didn’t know that those satellites are watching you every time you are geocaching?
Ha ha….when Trekkin’ got his first GPSr (way before we ever gave any thought to anything called “geocaching”), he went outside that night to get his fix for our home coordinates. He came *racing* back into the house, exclaiming…..”Look, there are SIX government satellites this thing is reading!”
My response?
“We’re children of the 60s and 70s. This makes you feel *good*?
Yup. They’re out there. Black helicopters, too! 🙄
Congratulations Don and Katrina! Great way to hit that one, among friends having fun.
I haven’t asked in their forums, but I did search the posts fairly extensively. Best I could discover is that Windows 7 doesn’t let you put stuff in program files. It would be nice if I could get findstats to work, but if I can’t figure it out easily, we’re just moving on. I can load my caches and that’s what matters!
No luck with any of that. The only way I could get GSAK to load my PQs was to have it associate with some AppRoaminggsak thing. It continues to tell me I must run things as an administrator, and my computer just does not let me do that.
I paid for the darn thing. WHY is this supposed to be better? I could understand if it were part of some big network of computers in a workplace, but it’s just mine in my own house. I might just let it all go and keep it simple to let us load and go. We are becoming less and less interested in any of the minutiae of geocaching, anyway. Heck, we hardly geocache these days!
What did you learn at the presentation? I know there was a move to establish a Driftless National Park in our area, but I’m not sure where that’s sitting anymore. Even though it might mean less area to place caches, it could also mean a fun park ranger retirement job, LOL.
Congrats to you!

Pat and Mark, I’ve been watching your journey to this one and am happy to see you “arrived” in great style! Way to go…..
